I started going when I was out of work,and had no insurance. I stayed because the doctors are Great. They spend the time needed to find out what is wrong. They really care about their patients. After I found out I had throat cancer Dr.McCarthy even called a few times to check in on me to see how I was doing. The nursing staff are Great always friendly and caring. You may have a little wait because doctors are spending time with other patients,but they are going to spend the needed time with you as well. So it's worth the wait not to be rushed and to be just a number. I highly recommend Palmetto Proactive to anyone especially if you have no insurance.

I have been going to this doctor's office for many years and the staff and doctors there have been terrific. I cannot even say how many times I've been there, good lord. Dr. Christopher McCarthy has always been nothing short of amazing. My family and I all think the world of him. There are few doctors that I trust nowadays, but he is at the top of the list. I'm sure some doctors are very busy and their time is limited, but in my opinion, it is very rare to find a doctor that is as genuine as he is. One of the best decisions I have ever made medically was going there.

HANDS DOWN, the absolute best Doctors in the world. Sensitive, caring, honestly want to help you live a better, healthier life. Very accomodating in scheduling and listening to you and your needs. 10+ years now with this group and I will never go anywhere else!

Do yourself a favor and go to a real doctors office. If your arm hurts a little when you move it a certain way, this is the place to go. If you have an actual health concern that might require long term medication, they’ll tell you you’re basically SOL if you don’t get a “”membership”” and still ask for $100 for the “visit”. One week after asking them to send a referral to another doctor that required it for me to be seen I called back and they had no record of me asking in the first place. The doctor was perfectly nice, if not a bit unhelpful given the parameters she was being required by the office to work within; a perfect microcosm of American medicine. Being generous with the second star since the nice lady who answered when I called for the referral the second time almost seemed like she might apologize for the inconvenience she did not.

True healthcare…Doctors who care about you and your health. They take time to listen and get to know you. You are not a patient quota to be met and hurried in and out, they don’t leave until you understand the plan of care and all your questions answered! Excellence in healthcare!!!

..dr.escamilla ..the red head lady is super rude ...so unless your a man ..she will not treat you good ..just saying ...real slick dr. Real slick ..every one that I've talked to about her said she's got a rep for being rude ..so I guess it's not just me .can we say power high ..

You won't find a better doctor or support staff anywhere else. We started coming here because we didn't have health insurance after moving. We stayed because they are THE BEST. Wonderful people and reasonably priced Healthcare. I wish more offices were like Palmetto Proactive.

This place is the best. Affordable, staff is pleasant, doctors are knowledgeable. Yes - sometimes, you do have to wait, but it's like that pretty much in any reputable/established doctor's office...esp. one like this one that runs on a schedule but also takes walk ins...so the complaint that is listed here about waiting 30 minutes to be seen...that doesn't seem out of the ordinary to me IMO. I've waited up to 2 hours in other doctor's offices - and they ran on a schedule only - and never took in unpredictable daily walk ins. So - I say have some patience if you have to wait - this place is the best.

I've brought my daughter here for the past few years for a sports physical. I had always had a pleasant experience, until today. We walked in around 4:20, they close at 5 but we have done it before and are usually in and out by 5 with no problem my child doesn't like missing any school. Well, today the receptionist tells me that they do not do walk-ins after 2:00. There were no patients in sight. If this is in fact true, then the website should say as much. I just feel like they just wanted to go home. It is unfortunate because we have always been pleased with the service from the doctors there. We went to AFC urgent care instead, who took us right in.

I began coming here because I didn't have insurance. Almost six years later with insurance, I still continue to go here even though my insurance would cover 100% for a primary doctor. I am certain that I could never find a more understanding, caring, kind, or knowledgeable staff anywhere else. Dr. McCarthy, Dr. Aya-Ay, and the rest of the team are amazing! I am so thankful for all they do!
