I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE!!! I got time today...... IT'S ABOUT $$ NOT CARE. Showed us who they are today. Wouldn't wait 2 days for payment on a $320 bill not give a prescription for 5 pills for epilepsy. Was told to go to urgent care if he has a seizure. Why does he have to suffer though?!?!? Been going to this doctor for almost 2 years. Appointment at 2, won't be seen until 4pm Everytime. We didn't complain, we'd say, "no problem, we understand. Had almost 1 years of meds because Dr. Pares would write 3 months worth every visit. Had schedule conflicts because he was traveling. They questionede like I was jumping doctors! Told them on the phone to call the pharmacy and confirm that Dr. Pares prescribed every bottle! Had to scrape up the copay for this visit, because he was low. 2 days before payday. Smdh .... giving Spartanburg Doctors a bad rep....I was told not to use Spartanburg Doctors ....need a 2nd opinion too, now that I reflect. He wasn't getting any better under his care. Will be passing this experience on to the proper boards
Friendly staff. Dr. Pares is great, he really takes the time to explain things. He does have an accent that is hard to figure out what he says sometimes but he is very informative.
I had an appointment with Infusion center today it got canceled because we waiting on Dr. Perez to sign the order. And today they are closed. So I will have to wait. And they knew this yesterday. I understand that they need help in the office and dont have alot of organization but Thank God I have a great attitude and peaceful outlook. Tired of going from doctor to doctor, with the same ole what they dont do perspective. We deal with humans;imperfect humans that are bound to make mistakes. For now on I will do my best to speak positive words and uplift others.
I took a lady to this office for her appt. I had no problem with his accent , but some would most likely struggle to understand him. The doctor and his assistant proceed to make fun of lady for her disabilities, laughed at her and were extremely rude . I was questioned as to why i was even there as if i had no right to be . The lady was also questioned why she even was there even though she was referred by family doctor for previous issues that needed to be rechecked. I was in total shock through the entire appointment has to how unprofessional they both were.
EXTREMELY unimpressed. Waited 40 minutes to be called back, and then to be seen. Very dirty, outdated, bland office. Mercedes, the assistant, was nice, but everyone else wasn't. Dr. Pares was very hard to understand, both in how he talked verbiage and his thick accent. He was somewhat pleasant, but just talked TO us and not with WITH us. Went on and on about what Epilepsy was, but seemed uninterested in my situation. I will not return to his practice.
Does little listening to the actual concerns and jokes a lot during visits. Dementia and other mental health issues are not a joke and a doctors office is not a place for jokes. Then come to tell me my mother cannot be seen at this office when she was a no call no show in June in the middle of a pandemic when they gave no reminders or phone calls for this appointment. Very rude office manager and I’m sure there are neurologists in the area that take their job more serious. Plus, the office is very old looking, out of date equipment, and uncomfortable environment.
This office stinks! They refused me care in 2016 because I did not make a follow-up appointment with them in 2007! I ended up having surgery in 2007 and was seeing my surgeon. When I called to discuss the issue, I was told they "made their decision and would not reconsider"! So much for seeking other opinions! Spiteful, shamefully spiteful.
He talked to me like a dog. Because I kept him informed about what my praymary doc. He got really made at me. I would not send anyone else to him. I am glad to be away from him.
Dr. Pares is one of the most kind and knowledgeable doctors I have ever seen and known. I will always make my appointments with him and his practice.
My only issue with this place is the way Ms. Betty in billing spoke to me. Very nasty and unprofessional. Surprised she still has a job.
