The front desk associate was very friendly. The rooms were decently clean, areas in the bathroom really needed resealing. We were extremity disappointed that the handicap pool chair main reason we picked this location was out of service. Also the mini golf area was entirely too overgrown to utilize. I would not consider returning due to these issues for the cost of the room. The lobby is a nice looking area until you realize that is outdoor access like a Motel.
The woman at the front desk was very accommodating! Our room was decent and clean but basic, could use some updates. Breakfast buffet is definitely worth the extra money $6.95, a very nice spread of hot food and the fruit was really great too... We will definitely stay again if/when we are in the area! Great restaurants/bars on site. Live music on Saturday nights.
Used this spot to block a few rooms for my wedding in a nearby town. Management decent. I didn't really hear anyone complain about their rooms so that's good. But when I say the bar staff is incompetent it's an understatement. Lets just say if you look like me you get it you might have a less than great time. A solid looking venue wrecked by poor bar/entertainment management is such a waste. The wedding was great though!
I've stayed at this hotel during the same time period and same group of people for the last 3 years without issue, but this year was an utter disaster. We normally book our rooms together with our group to stay in the same segment of the Hotel, but since there was 'a deep clean' going on in our normal set of rooms, we were placed all over this very large, outdoor hotel. Multiple people had blood or other stains on our white towels and sheets. Toilets didn't work. Large bugs were found inside our rooms. Rooms were in bad condition with water damage and burnt out bulbs. I've stayed in better $40 Motels... And to top it off, the front desk lady was very rude, and once any complaint was raised she would loudly state 'There will be NO COMPED ROOMS'. This is disastrous. This is the last time our group will stay there.
Was not an overnight guest. I attended a conference in one of their larger conference rooms. The room had good acoustics and A/V equipment, but was a little warm. Seating and tables were ccomfortable. The beverage and snack service was fine. The staff seemed attentive.
I was pleased, not a 5 star property, but my expectations were exceeded. will definitely come back. clean and well maintained room #1226. could use some new paint and cosmetic work here and there, but no biggie. I don't know what the negative reviews are based upon but I m glad i didn't listen and checked the place out. glad I did! Good value for the price. restaurant/bar was excellent also. all the staff were friendly and professional.
Clean, comfortable. Courtyards throughout with picnic tables. In door and outdoor pools. Security in parking lots a plus. We had a car enthusiast group with expensive cars. Security was cool and let us party as long as someone didn't do anything stupid. Excellent continental breakfast. I'm going back next year. Thank you for a nice stay.
I have stayed at this hotel on two different occasions. My first visit was in May of 2015, and my second was in August of 2015. In May I had a really great stay. The room was clean, the beds were a little "springy" feeling, but comfortable enough. The staff was very friendly on both occasions, and I love that there are two pools one inside and one out. The area was very nice and close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. Gettysburg is about 40 minutes away if you wanted to spend some time there. The hotel offers restaurants and continental breakfast, and a bar. It would be a nice place to spend some family time based on my first visit. My second visit was in August, and this time we stayed in a pet friendly room, because we decided to take our little dog with us. Our dog is very clean and well behaved. The room was very far away from the pools and everything, which wasn't a huge problem, but I enjoyed the first visit much more because the room was close to both pools. You have to go outside to get to both pools and if it were winter it would be chilly to walk far. The real problem that I had with the second stay was that the room was not nearly as nice. It had a terrible odor of urine and was not anywhere near as clean. There were four of us staying in the room including a 3 year old and our feet were black after walking on the carpet. There was food under the bed, and the phone was not working all of the time. There was only one towel for us and we had to go to the front desk to request more, which was a bit of a walk from where our room was, because the phone wasn't working. We had to go again later to get a garbage back to put laundry in since the bags were not in the room, and yes I said garbage bag. Apparently, they do not have plastic laundry bags. We were kept kept awake by large sounding dogs that were left alone in another room next to ours, so maybe that is why they put pet rooms so far away from the others. It felt like a totally different hotel and experience than my first visit. I would probably give it another try before I totally ruled it out, but if I had only stayed once and had the second experience I would definitely rule it out. I guess that at this point I would recommend that if you do decide to stay at this hotel do not stay in a pet room, and request a room near the pools; also, get there early enough to inspect your room and request a new one if you need to. I had a hard time sleeping because the room felt so uncomfortable with the room that I imagined things crawling on me, though I searched and found no bugs. That's a plus! I know that it was just because of the room not feeling clean. The bedding appeared clean though. The staff that I interacted with was very friendly. The food that I had was not great, but there are plenty of places nearby if you do not like it. The hotel gives the feel of an older hotel that is working on improving and coming back to life. They just need to do a little more work on those pet rooms, and get some laundry bags!
Room was clean and well maintained. There's a surprising amount of green space available outside as well. I noticed an area for kickball/ softball as well as a children's play area. There was also an indoor and outdoor pool though I didn't use either. The only downside was the pet fee. Pets are allowed but $50 per stay. For an extended stay that seems reasonable but as a strictly overnight guest I would have found somewhere else if I had the time since that's a room by itself at other establishments.
I was expecting a hotel that we could easily walk down to the bar/restaurant and pool, but the rooms are in different buildings away from the main building. When we checked in at 5:30 we were told the room wasn't ready and had no towels, but housekeeping would bring them shortly. They never showed up we had to drive back yes the room was that far away from the main building to get towels. The beds were terrible! It smelled of an old motel. So not worth 130 a night.
