We were pleased with the care and attention my mother received during her 11 days at this facility. The nurses were attentive, and the food was tasty. All the staff seemed cordial and caring.
What a care facility from hell. . I takes says to weeks to get help and the Dr.assigned to me seems more like an intern. They spend a week getting my medication balance so I can enjoy a moment of sleep. Without talking to me or discussing my treatment they change my medication without my knowledge or permission You can press the call light and no one will show up for hours.
If I could give this place zero stars, I honestly would. Please do your research before allowing your loved one to stay at Park Ridge nursing home. My loved one is here and I the nurse named Beverly, in hallway #2, didn’t realize I was on the phone because it wasn’t up to the patients ear. My loved one is recovering from a broken neck and asked the nurse by name to turn off his light. I heard with my own ears, the nurse respond and say, “Turn around and off your own light” I immediately addressed the nurse, which startled her, evidence by the nurse immediately going silent. I informed her that I would be contacting the news stations and her superior. This event brought tears to my eyes. I wouldn’t send my pets or any loved ones here. I am trying to get my loved one transferred.
My wife was medevaced to Seattle from Capital City Juneau with lots of complications. Upon release from the hospital, we were looking for a place who could care for her and physically rehabitate her so she could return home to Alaska. After visiting and first-hand evaluations of several nursing care/rehab centers, we selected Park Ridge Care Center. Despite its longevity, Park Ridge is clean and staff are very conscientious in the facility maintenance. The care, professionalism, and trained staff are beyond reproach. The entire staff works very hard, are tireless and demonstrate those characteristics. The environment is safe and clean. Medicines are reliably administered in a timely manner. Food menu is diverse and healthy and they take extra effort to accommodate dietary needs complying with medical restrictions, e.g. resident's food allergies, diabetes and the like. Covid CDC guidelines are closely complied with for residents and staff. I cannot say enough about ANY of the staff from the CEO to the maintenance staff - they are all equally professional, caring and conscientious.
PLEASE don’t bring your loved ones here! If I could give zero stars I would. My dads uncle passed away on 12/22/21 and he was just notified today of his passing. Now they are withholding any other information regarding his death. They then lied and said they didn’t have any contact information for family, which is a lie!! We have visited the facility numerous of times before, and have called in to speak with him as well once COVID hit. I pray for the families who loved ones currently live there, I hope this never happens to anyone else. I hope this place gets shut down!! Shame on you Park Ridge.
Beautiful facility! Friendly, warm, welcoming staff. 5-Star Care.
My step dad was there for 90 days. I found the staff to be caring and responsive to our needs. I think the actions of the staff and the kindness in their eyes was very telling. This is a tough gig, but if they can bring a genuine smile to work every day...you know they are the right people for the job.
My grandma became a resident of Park Ridge about three months ago. The staff have been so wonderful with her and she loves her head nurse Goldie. They are very thoughtful in what they do and listen to my grandma. She is very happy at Park Ridge!
Horrendous. It's been a while but I think back on the awful care my 91 yr old father had there. He was transported there from the hospital. When I arrived he was in agonizing mid chest pain, but because of stroke related dementia, was unable to communicate much beyond and few words and pointing to the spot. I searched high and low for anyone to get help from. There was no one around. I walked the halls and finally interrupted one person, asked if there was a nurse there, I was told they had nurses there 24/7. I was shocked that this person did not come with me to see. In fact...No one came. I waited for an hour, and still no one came. The next day the idiots lost his dentures too. The following day, he was sent back to the hospital - and they told me there was evidence that within the past 48 hrs he had a heart attack, no wonder he was moaning in pain! He passed away shortly after that and I never had time to send in a formal complaint. Please don't choose this place for your loved one.
Receptionist named Julianne seems to believe that because she says "Thank You" before she hangs up in your face, that it's professional to do so. Based on common manners alone, no matter the nature of the call, I wouldn't recommend this place. When you ask for the Administrator or Director, you could be hung up on. Not a sign of transparency or good hiring practices.
