I absolutely love this library it small but quaint. When I homeschooled my kids and I went to this library, the librarian Mrs.Katie was amazing. She helped us with everything we needed. The selections of books kept my kids, intrigued and searching for books. They love all of the little activities Mrs. Katie has set up. From scavenger hunts two little art activities , to story times .It’s a small library, but there’s so many books. I haven’t even got to look through the whole library. We love the Parker library and Mrs .Katie.
This is the local library near my parent’s house. Katie, the librarian, asks after my mom every time I stop in. She remembers all the books she is reading, asks how her house is coming along and reminds me she can get anything I find online delivered to pickup there. This is how every town’s local library should be. There are computers ready to use, free books in the lobby, children’s Saturday morning story times usually with crafts. A great addition to the community.
By far our favorite branch location in our library system. It is a small and quaint place for my kids to enjoy being surrounded by books and enjoying activities that are seasonally rotated. The monthly activity packets are always looked forward too. For me the smaller selection makes it easier to find just the right next read. I can never say enough amazing things about Mrs Katie the librarian. She is a always a smilling face and so helpful. AS a homeschooling family she always gives me great suggestions. If you havent stopped in make this your next library stop.
This library is the best! There are always fun things for the kids to do, including different events hosted regularly! Miss Katie is super sweet and goes above and beyond to help those who come in!
We absolutely adore this library. It’s so cozy and Mrs Katie goes above and beyond to get to know her patrons. She makes fantastic recommendations as a result and is always willing to help in any way she can. If they don’t have what you want on the shelf, they can usually have it ordered and in your hands in a week. The kids area has tons of STEAM activities/games and seasonal craft material provided. There’s usually a scavenger hunt with small prizes as well. We look forward to getting the monthly kid’s activity packets and the Coffee Break packet for grownups! In the last few years Mrs Katie has done a phenomenal job investing funds and prioritizing youth programs. My girls love attending the monthly story times and after-school programs which have ranged from Arts & Crafts to puzzles to LEGOS and more! They recently received a grant from the Early Learning Coalition and the kids section is overflowing with new books Over the summer they provided great incentives for kids to read BINGO with Squishmellow and book prizes! as well as a summer long BINGO game for adults with book prizes! They hosted a weekly Play and Learn group this summer which will hopefully be returning in Nov. Not to mention the weekly All Together Summer Program, which was a blast! Mrs Katie always keeps the library’s Facebook page updated with events and up-to-date posters and flyers advertising events MONTHS in advanced can be found in the library. We’ve recently seen more families from Tyndall at the groups as well, so hopefully with more participation there will be even more funding provided for future growth!
A humble, small, and quaint little library in the city of Parker. This is probably the smallest branch and I only really recommend if you live in the area. That being said, it was my library of choice for 20 years and I could go online and have books from other libraries dropped off and pick them up at this location. Ms. Debbie was very nice, although I hear she’s recently retired. They have a decent selection if you want to browse, but if you’re looking for something in particular, you aren’t likely to find it here as like I said, it’s very tiny. They have a cool “children’s nook” corner with a computer for kids and plenty of books for kids. They also have a few shelves dedicated to teen/YA fiction. They have several computers here and you can rent DVDs. Other than that, there is not much else. The location is clean and recently remodeled. 4 stars because I think this is a nice place to go to in the area, but I dont recommend coming if you live far away.
Small little Library, but seriously lacking with community involvement. They periodically hold events on the weekend for kids, but don't do the greateat job spreading the word about it. Depending on the funds taken from the City of Parker, if any, may be time to close this location down to save the city money.
We love this little library! The people are always friendly and very helpful. My son enjoys playing with their blocks while I look around which is so nice. They have a nice touch screen computer for kids too which I love because my son isn't used to having to use a mouse
We love this little library! It has everything you need books, computers, etc. Only thing missing is a fax machine.
I came here to study and the employees were chatting it up and laughing loud enough I could hear them over my AirPods. Will not be returning here.
