We are a family-owned Plumbing, Sewer, and Flood Control business located in Skokie and serving Chicagoland and the north suburbs since 1981.
We were founded by Jeff Parks who still actively runs the company as president. He is a master plumber and a college graduate from Elmhurst College. He has also furthered his activities into successfully completing his second degree black belt in Kenpo Karate as well as becoming a licensed boat captain by the United States Coast Guard. Jeff's father, Joe Poczatek, was a graduate mechanical engineer, a licensed plumber, and was an engineering and plumbing inspector in Skokie and in Aurora.
Before entering the plumbing field Joe was the Senior Scientific Adviser for GATX (General American Transportation Corp.) While there he headed up teams that built nuclear ballistic missiles and that worked with NASA.
Since our founding in 1981, our company's focus on quality work and reliable service has enabled us to become the dominant flood control and plumbing company in the region.
Over the years, Parks' Plumbing and Sewer, Inc. has grown substantially. We now employ over 30 people as licensed plumbers, inspectors of Cross-Connection-Control Devices, pipe fitters and sewer men. Most of these employees are long-term and full-time personnel. The management personnel are largely college graduates. Together with the rest of the office staff, we have accrued over 100 years of experience in our field. Of this company team, we are justly very proud.
Please look at our video taken from a recent Flood Control Seminar in Skokie where Joe Poczatek takes you through a brief history of our company. The seminar was recommended by many of the City/Village inspectors and was for the residents of all the Northshore suburbs and Chicago.
