This place is Lake Winnipesaukee’s best kept secret! Located on a quiet cove, there is a great beach for the kids to swim and a raft. You can bring your jet skis and kayaks. We’ve walked to the weirs, and even paddle boarded over to the Naswa! Great spot to bring your camper and kids!
We just spent a week here with our three teenager boys and it was a great experience. Beautiful views, right from our campsite. Private beach on small cove and easy access to lake under small bridge. We launched kayaks and spent time exploring the lake. The bathroom was clean as well as campground and everyone was friendly. We can’t wait to return next year!
I just loved it here . . steps to Weirs Beach. We were lucky enough to get a lake site and watch the train pass by every few hours literally feet away. Centrally located to all Winnepesaukee dining, shopping and attractions . . but off the beaten path. Super nice employees . . highly recommend!
Best location for weekend and seasonal camping in the entire lakes region.Rooms: 5/5
Great place! Super friendly staff. Family owned and operated. Clean and well situated on the side of the lake. 5 Minutes walking to the boulevard. Great views from most sites. Not expensive. Cash only
Nice small, family run campground on the shore of Paugus Bay at Lake Winnepesauke. Many seasonal campers and some transient sites too. 3 full hook-up transient sites, and others have water & electric closer to water have no sewer hook-up Fun community of people!
The owners and staff are exceptionally nice. We were fortunate they had a transient site available at the last minute. Right on the bay and walking distance to town. The sites are well maintained, the bathrooms and shower are very clean. It is a nice quiet campground, the people are friendly and dogs are welcome. It was definitely what we had hoped for and had a relaxing week. We hope to come back.
A true gem a short walk from all the Weirs Beach action. Clean and affordable. The staff was extremely helpful. With its own beach and kayak rentals couldn’t ask for more. Will definitely be back!
This is our second year here. We absolutely love it here. It is family owned and run by the nicest people. The facilities are always clean and easily accessible, the little beach is well maintained. The campground is quiet at night, I never have heard any loud people after 10pm. We hope to be back next year!
We got lucky when we found Paugus Campground on our excursion to Weirs Beach. Beautiful setting right on the shores of the lake. Pristine setting in super clean campground with private well situated sites. We enjoyed everything about it from the vintage feel to the quite beauty of our site. The teenagers loved the short trail to the boardwalk which was convenient for the whole family. Only suggestion is to have the seasonal properties eliminate the party lights adorning and delineating their boundaries. These lights were glaring overkill and the properties weren’t even vacated. Killed our serenity and view of the night sky and shooting stars. Looking forward to many more stays at the Paugus Campground .
