This place is great! It’s run by two fantastic folks, its extremely conveniently located to everything Laconia/Meredith has to offer, it’s very biker friendly, they have a pool, cabins come large and small, they are pet friendly, and there’s RV and tent sites…what more do y’all need?! Walkability: Cumberland Farms is right across the street, and if your feeling froggy, I guess you could brave the hike up Tower Hill…during bike week, you can get to strip on foot within 10 or so mins. Food & drinks: Food can be found in either direction, minutes away.
Prices went through the damn roof with new ownership. What once was a family tradition is now to pricey for the whole family… hope they made alot of changes for the cost they are asking forRooms: 4/5
I've gone here many times. They say they are pet friendly, we called to rent a cottage. We told them our dog was 2 yrs old and 70 pounds size of a retriever We were told she was too big. So be warned, they are only somewhat pet friendly. She is also my service dog
Okay, first the owners Rick and Lisa are truly down to earth and incredibly welcoming and kind. Well maintained beautiful grounds and close to the beach as well as having a pool. Cabins are rustic as advertised. My biggest concerns are cleanliness especially in the beds when I go somewhere. The cabin and bed linens were clean. I’m a big camping fan, and my daughter is absolutely not. So, a cabin would be the closest thing, and I can’t say enough that I loved my time there and can’t wait to go back. I just left today. I had such a good time with my daughter. The place is so close to everything we wanted to do, and they are nicest people ever!
Pretty convenient tiny house for overnight. Fireplace for big partyRooms: 5/5
I want to start by saying, we had a good time. Rick was super pleasant. Our cabin was Full of cobwebs, mosquitos & sand. The screen on back porch could use some mending. We didn’t make it to the pool or sleep under any blankets & were a bit said our site didn’t have its own fire pit. BUT the accessibility to Weirs, Cumbies & pier was a bonus. “Water access” isn’t private for the cottages, which was a lil misleading but we made it work.
Reasonably priced and close enough to all the attractions! Nice and friendly people here. Cottages, RV slots and tent spaces with a gas station/convenience store across the street.
Be aware their seasonal tenants are allowed to bully and harass short term campers because they are staying longer. Drug use on the property by these tenants is accepted and tolerated.
Enjoyed our stay very much, Lisa was fantastic, we had a one night stay at the campsites in back for a concert, she gave our ten year old a cowboy hat to wear for the show, and let him drive one of her golf cart around, needless to say he had a blast!!! The pool was sparkling clean as were the grounds and bathrooms, very family friendly place, I would recommend this easygoing place to friens/family.
I am so disappointed to report that the new owners are nothing like the previous. I had to call multiple times before I reached a person, even though I had left multiple messages. I booked a campsite for 5 nights starting today. I called the campground a week ago to confirm, I never heard from them. I called this morning at 9am since I will be driving over 6 hours to get there... no one answered and no one called me babk... at all. So, my entire vacation is on hold while I scramble to see what I can find in a tourist area the last week of summer. The worst part is, I really liked this place and now I can never go back or recommend to anyone.
