The best camping site we've been to on our 3-week road trip. Right on the lake with beautiful views, large spaces with picnic tables and grill, electricity and water plus dumping station. Super easy booking via website with instant confirmation. Gate closed between 10 pm and 6 am. Showers clean even if pretty old. Lots of shade and quiet. Noteworthy details: Spaces from just 28 USD per night. No paperwork, everything is digital.
Fantastic park. Very picturesque. We were welcomed by a lovely couple, the park’s camp hosts. They explained everything thoroughly and told us to let them know if we needed anything. And they meant it. They clearly wanted us to enjoy our camping experience there. They even gave us a trash bag to use. We love Army Corps parks because they are always close to water. Our site #8 was one of the last available in this busy park and yet it was terrific, a view of the river included. Being a senior the half price rate of $ 14 is a total gift.
We’re from Virginia and stayed here at site 17 for a good week. It’s incredibly beautiful right on the beach. We had good fishing, fun kayaking, and even took a little dip, though it’s still spring. They keep it very clean. Our campsite was raked and we were even given a trash bag on the way in. The bathroom/bathhouse was clean and the showers were hot and wonderful! There’s also coined laundry available. Our site was pretty level and we can’t complain about anything but the windy weather. Our camp hosts, Mike and his wife as well as Bill and his wife are some of the best hosts we’ve ever had in the last two years of camping. They’re very present around the grounds and even stopped by to see if they could take our trash bag so we didn’t have to finish walking all the way up to the bins. Real hospitality and the best views at seven points!!
Beautiful campground! We didn't have a site on the water but they looked fantastic. Our site was super nice, tho. Would like to stay longer next time.Service: 5/5
This is one of the best campgrounds I've ever been to. Sites are long, very wide. Lots of room between sites. Gorgeous lake and beach. Close to Nashville without being in the city like the other popular private campgrounds. An easy and economical Uber ride to Nashville and Opryland.Location: 5/5
Stopped for just 1 night, wishing we could stay longer though! The views are amazing! Will def be back! The couple at the gate were super friendlyHotel highlightsGreat view
Very rude staff!! Not Veteran friendly. We were running 5 minutes over the checkout time and a guy came by in a golf cart yelling at us. Disabled Veteran trying to pack up as fast as possible. I get it we were running late but the guy could have approached us a lot differently. Will NEVER stay here again!!!Rooms: 1/5
Absolutely beautiful campground. However the two people at the gate were very disrespectful and rude. We haven't stayed here yet. We wanted to check the campground out and got out of the car to look at a couple of the empty sites. The "gentleman showed up on a golf cart and very rudely told us we were not aloud to. Then followed us all the way back out of the park. Way to make potential customers feel unwelcomed.
Only had one night to experience the beauty of this campground. It is in a beautiful location, large campsites, plenty of places to fish, an area for swimming, and amazing views. Would highly recommend.Service: 5/5
Beautiful campground and well taken care of. The sites are very large. The bathrooms are clean. It has a beach area and Playground. It doesn't have trails but there is still a lot of walking area. Walkability: Traffic is one-way only so it's a lot safer to walk all over the campground. Noteworthy details: The sites are very large for any Rv or tent and it has long driveway for the sites. Beautiful sites even if you are not on the water and it was very quiet at night. Playground: They have a neat playground and it has a lot of different activity pieces on the sand. Restrooms: They really keep up with the restrooms and have ni e showers. Dog-friendliness: Lots of areas to walk your pet and because the sites are large, there is room to have a runner put out for by our pet.
