Awesome staff, super friendly. Bathrooms and showers are cleaner than some hotels. Laundry on site. Sites are very large for a campground with lots of trees, but nicely graded picnic areas on each site with charcoal grill, fire ring and over the fire grill tops. Tons of wildlife including a lot of whitetail deer, ducks, raccoons, even some skunks that didn't spray me! Gorgeous lake with incredible sunsets. Prices are great. Staff closes gate at night but it's not locked! Don't let it deter you from camping here. Staff cleaned bathroom every morning around 615 am.
Great campground! Close to the water, nice amenities. Watch for skunks! If the gate is closed at night after 10pm it's not locked - just slide the coupling over and open the gate and close after.
I almost chose not to post because this is a hidden gem. Great campground right next to a lake with amazing sunsets. Big pads, electric and water. Quiet and pretty small. Very little traffic after quiet hours. Restrooms: Restrooms are well maintained with private showers. Good pressure and nice hot water.
Close to Nashville, but you can still have the camping feeling. We only stayed one night as we were passing through and wish we would have booked longer. Great swimming area and playground for kids. We are a larger rig 42ft so some of the turns and spots could be a little more tricky than others. We’ll definitely come back.
Loved this campground on the lake near Nashville! We stayed at site 4, which was spacious and shaded but the driveway was a little unlevel. Not a big deal overall. At the time of our stay, site 2 was not being used appears to be a host site so we had a bit more privacy. The site was well equipped with a concrete picnic table, an additional wooden table, grill, fire ring, water, and electric. Saw deer, rabbits, and lots of birds each day. The lake is an easy walk from any of the campsites. The bathrooms were pretty nice overall, but there is no AC or fan in them so showering on a 95 degree day is very humid lol. The hosts were very kind at check in. Didn't have any other interaction with them. Location is about 25 mins to downtown Nashville. We also visited Long Hunter State Park to hike, about 20 mins away. Definitely will return! The price and location are great. Follow us on social media @novastrailerlife
Beautiful campground. We were able to manuever our 31' fifth-wheel. Checkout time is noon and trash goes in the dumpster not at the end of the campsite. Well maintained and great boat dock. We will be coming back. Restrooms: Clean Dog-friendliness: Everyone walks their fur babies in the morning.
We have stayed here 3 times. We love it here. Restrooms, laundry, playground, dump station. Very clean and friendly volunteer staff
This campground is very clean, very organized and the folks that stay here are very polite and well mannered. Aka no ratchetness. Most campsites have a connection to the water, which is nice... By Tennessee standards which as we know.. this is perhaps the only lake for miles so we can't judge the cleanliness.
Friendly hosts, super clean bathrooms and grounds! Quiet atmosphere. I've never before arrived to find a site as well-groomed as this one was. Loved it!
Bad drinking water!!!!! Had problems with electric hook up even though brand new trailer that was used at 3 other locations with no problem. Be sure to double check your site, not always what it says on website. Overall beautiful place, clean didn't use shower house
