In April, 2000, the Peter B. Lewis Aquatic & Therapy Center opened its doors. Since then, more than 8,000 people have benefited from coming to the Center.
We offer both Land and Water based physical therapy, balance and dizziness treatments, McKenzie back therpay, massage therapy, power performance (a movementanalysis and tranining program for ultimate golf success), along with occupational and speech therapies availabe on-site.
These services are provided in a supportive enviorment by licesned, highly trained, dedicated therapists.
The Center is state-of-the art, with three individual therapy pools, one large recreational/exercise pool, a whirlpool, specially designed land-based exercise equipment, and the NeuroCom Smart Balance Master System, developed using NASA techonolgy, to diagnose balance issues.
Our purpose is to help you feel better and maximize your level of functioning. We accomplish this by:
- Assessing the cause of your pain or discomfort.
- Providing the most appropriate therapy to treat the problem through a mutually agreed on plan of care.
- Monitoring your progress and keeping your physician informed.
- Working with you to create a health maintenace plan for you to follow when therpay is down.
