The Philadelphia Montessori Charter School (PMCS): is a free public charter school, serving children in Kindergarten through sixth grade.
Founded in 2004 by Anne Arfaa, Kathleen Dzura and Colleen Mele, as Philadelphia’s only public, charter Montessori school, we are located in Southwest Philadelphia serving 168 students from Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Philadelphia Montessori Charter School (PMCS) excels at providing children in Kindergarten through 6th grade with a Montessori education in an environment that nurtures the whole child, celebrates inclusion, embraces innovation, and encourages collaboration with families.
