My party was Saturday and the Thursday before, I stopped by Pierre’s Bakery. I worked with the owner. I let them know I wanted a Lion King themed cake. They didn’t have any templates but encouraged me look up Google images for cake ideas and also to order cake toppers from Amazon. The toppers luckily came in right before we served the cake. He walked me through different sizes and different flavors, and the need for buttercream frosting for the image I was going for. The kids loved it. And everyone complimented on the details and design of the cake. Oh! At pickup, they added a rose for parents for throwing birthday parties for the kids. Nice touch. Thanks for a great experience. Happy to support local shops. The cookies and cheesecake are also good!
Stopped here while looking for coffee. Their cakes looked inviting, so we tried the tres leches cake slice. Undoubtedly a great cake to Taste. Will come back if I need cake for an occasion! The lady working here is nice, caring and humble!
They really saved me for this year’s Valentine’s Day. I’m truly grateful and will never forget this store. Besides the fact that the items i bought were delicious, the store owner is really accommodating. The vibe is really great. Very welcoming, happy guy and genuine.
What a beautiful and tasty job by Marty! Our cake was stunning for the 50th surprise party. First lets discuss Marty, you have a budget and she will work with you to make your vision come to life. She's also honest in letting you know what she has experienced with other events. We had an out of this world tasting. We went with the passion fruit and chocolate. Both were a cake lovers dream. I honestly can't thank the team at Pierre's Bakery and Marty enough for her beautiful work and tasty cake. Def ask for her by name you won't be disappointed by her kindness and her expertise.
I had placed an order by phone on 10/29/2021 and I asked if I still had time to place it and the man said yes. I told him how I wanted the cake and I picked it up the next day 10/30/2021 and When I got there the lady owner asked for my name and I gave it to her and she couldn’t find my order. Instead they gave me a cake that they already had made from the front counter refrigerator. When it was time to cut the cake because it was my dads birthday which they ruined with their disgusting cake I was so mad the strawberries were disgusting and gray. The cake was nothing like i told them it didnt have cheesecake or nothing, it was suppose to be an atomic cake. It was just a regular strawberry cake that they probably had their for days and decided to give it to me just to sell it. They could have told me they couldn’t make it for me the day I ordered it or when I picked it up instead of giving me an old cake. I messaged them and until now I haven’t received a response. So they wanted a review. This is my review. Terrible! I will not be going back.
Cannot say enough good things. The strawberry shortcake for my wife’s birthday was out of this world and the service was amazing. The kind of neighborhood small business you want to support.
Loooooooooove this bakery!!!! Every time we order a cake they NEVER disappoint us!! They always go above and beyond when it comes to what their customers want!!!! Thank you so much to Marti, Joe & their staff, totally recommend them!!!! You will not be disappointed!! This should definitely be a million Stars business, they are amazing, worth it and DELICIOUS!!!!!
1956 W Chicago Ave Chicago IL 60622 I called to place a simple 3 leche counter cake for a birthday party and the lady that answered was so rude! All I asked was for it to say happy birthday and she repeated my order to me and said it’d be $275 I asked if that was corrected and she said “yes, you want a tres leche cake and for it to say happy birthday” I asked for the regular size they have in the counter with the strawberries around so I think it was a mistake on the pricing I didn’t mean to question her price but I think she was calculating wrong. It’s not about what she said it’s about how she said it I respected this place but she really screamed at me I didn’t mean to offend anyone. She made me feel humiliated cause I question the price of 275dollars when I usually walk in and get a counter cake they are no more than 100
Got the chocolate cake flan and a coffee as a personal little treat. The chocolate cake was rich and moist and the flan was creamy with a fantastically smooth texture. The coffee was piping hot but not burnt and the woman working put the perfect amount of cream and sugar.
I love coming here to pick up treats for birthdays! The tres leches is soo good. Theyre so kind and friendly here too - thanks!
