Scafuri Bakery is a century-old Italian family tradition. Since 1904 Scafuri Bakery has been serving its community, both within the Little Italy neighborhood and throughout the surrounding city of Chicago. We are located near South Loop, West Loop, Pilsen and Illinois Medical District. This Little Italy bakery offers something for everyone – both contemporary and traditional tastes. Our classic Italian cookies, breads and pastries are made with the same family recipes passed down over the years.
Five generations later, as the Little Italy neighborhood continues to evolve, we honor the legacy that Luigi and Annette built as we provide a community space where our neighbors can engage and connect with one another (over delicious food and coffee!)
We've also launched an online store where we sell and ship our traditional Italian cookies across the country!

My new favorite bakery. I like the variety of Italian cookies and cakes that they offer. Not too sweet, just perfect .

They make the beeest scones in town! We went early in the morning and got their white chocolate cranberry scones. They were fresh out of the oven, flaky outside and soft inside with perfect layers. The pumpkin cream cheese muffin was also amazing! It is a pumpkin spiced muffin injected with cream cheese filling. They got the pumpkin flavor just right. We will definitely go back and try more stuff!

Buyers BEWARE!  I came across the site and the loaf breads and cookies looked good.  I ordered 2lbs of cookies and Zucchini loaf  Order #9734. The one star I did not want to give but had to put in to continue.  The products do not look like the pictures they provide.  OH MY! I called and e-mailed the bakery about my issue, nobody e-mailed me back.  I waited two days no response with my issues.  I called the bakery on 1/8/2023 at 3:30 in the afternoon.  Someone answered the phone I told him my issues and also told him my problems and no one contacted me.  His response we will see what we will do.  I do not like writing bad reviews but I gave them a chance to resolve the problem.  The cookies are hard as rocks  l literally did a video banging the cookies on the counter and plate and all of them taste the same and the biscotti cookies fell apart from being stale.  Just a horrible experience.  The cookies were just old and stale, the Zucchini bread I cut a piece the loaf bread fell apart not moist at all the white icing was hard as a rock and all you tasted was sugar too sweet,  Just nasty an not edible.   Beware of this place of old cookies and stale products.  I will upload a video and you can see the cookies are hard as a rock.  Customer service horrible.  The owners of this place can not say I did not call or email to fix the problem because I did.  My emails were ignored and phone calls.  Please give me a refund.  THANK YOU

I stumbled upon this place because I didn’t want to wait for the breakfast spot next door, and it worked out great. The donuts are made in-house and omg they’re delicious. The cookies were yummy and the place was cozy and cute. I will be back to try the loaves and pizza bread.

The scones and croissants were amazing!!! Wow we are planning to make this our go-to for a Saturday morning bakery. I wish I had taken a picture of the croissants, but we ate them too fast. Great, friendly service too!

Ample selection of staples for a bakery croissants, Danishes plus several Italian cookies. Well flavored pastries but freshness could improve given the cost

I absolutely love this place! The iced coffee here is quite good and matches well with the fresh pastries.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE.  MY SISTER PUT AN ORDER IN AND I DID ALSO.  THE COOKIES ARE STALE AND HARD.  WE BOTH CALLED AND SENT AN EMAIL, NO RESPONSE FROM NO ONE.  THE ZUCCHINI BREAD DRY AND THE ICING I QUESS THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL ICING HARD AS A ROCK.  COOKIES YOU CAN ACCTUALLY HIT ON THE COUNTER AND THEY DO NOT BREAK APART.  WE TRIED TO GET HELP WITH THIS ORDER BUT NO REPLY FROM THE OWNER.  JUST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.  THE ORDER NUMBER IS #9734- AND I DID CALL THE BAKERY AND LEFT MY PHONE NUMBER AND DID EMAIL YOU 2 TIMES  WITH NO RESPONSE

7 months ago, Best donuts in Chicago, I love the service. I recommend to call before go if you want donuts they run out really fast. Today 03/20/2021 we try it abs they were so old and greasy really disappointed
