My husband and I have been there 2 times now. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a great happy hour. Every single thing we've eaten there has been outstanding. The Jalpeno poppers, shrimp Rangoon, buffalo chicken salad and the basic burger wed night special were so good that I can never order a similar dish anywhere else ever again. The atmosphere is great. Flickering candles and dim lighting, plus I really enjoyed the music they chose as well. Craig and his staff clearly love what their doing. Want to impress out of town guests or friends? Take them here!
Wow!! The food totally knocked my socks off! Truly wonderful service, great presentation, reasonable prices The Happy Hour tacos are to die for. The beer, wine, booze selection is very well done. This place is truly a local gem. We are definitely keeping this place top of our list for places to eat locally.
My husband and I had lunch here during their first week, and we could not have been more impressed. The owner, Craig, stopped by all the tables to greet customers. The food was amazing, and our server was super-friendly. We shared the pastrami and Philly sandwiches, and although they may sound familiar, each had an original twist that really dialed up the awesome sauce. Craig also brought out some of the homemade French doughnuts for us to sample, one with raspberry filling and two with peanut butter, and they were beyond delicious! Seriously - the peanut butter filling should be put on everything. It would make the world a better place. I'll definitely be going back. But just so you don't miss it - the city won't let them change the awnings from the previous business yet for some weird reason, so don't let the old awnings fool you. Go in. Eat yourself silly. You'll be so glad you did.
Holy Mole, you need to try the peanut mousse donut. It's like, insane good. It's also nice to see yucca on the menu. The brunch we both got was great. Steak omelette and breakfast enchiladas the weekly special are both great choices.
I loved my pork sandwich, and the service was great! The chief was out visiting with the costumers, very good small happy atmosphere. I'd recommend to anybody. It was raining when we went there so I can't rate the patioit looked inviting tho. But over all the place was awesome.
Absolutely delicious brunch! The steak omelet may be one of the best omelets I've ever had. Tender steak, fresh sauteed mushrooms with some buttery, crispy hash browns. I also shared the turkey mole benedict with masa corn, avocado and fried yucca...what an ingenious way to blend cultures. Love it love it!
In my opinion it's the best happy hour in the neighborhood. The food is always well thought out and executed. Although the restaurant and patio are pretty dark in lighting I enjoy a sunny restaurant, the staff more than makes up for it. Thank you!
Wonderful atmosphere, super cute and friendly wait staff, thoughtful food in an approachable menu. The owners came to the table talked to us. They openly talked to us about the restaurant and their overall design. I will be back and recommend this place to anyone :
I am not a particularly adventurous eater. When I eat out, I want to leave satisfied and full. I don’t want to eat three green beans and discuss the nuanced, complex raspberry drizzle on the middle bean. I want food. Therefore, I was drawn to the concept of Pilgrimage café: “globally inspired comfort foods.” I thought maybe I could be an adventurous eater while still getting that full, satisfied feeling. I am awfully glad I took the chance. The scrumptious tuna wellington was mouth-watering good combined with the perfect crunch of deep-fried spring roll wrapper. I returned, and tried the black bean ravioli, full of diverse creamy flavors, all of which wrapped well together in a satisfying meal. One of my favorite things on their menu was the buffalo Caesar salad. The grilled chicken was flavorful and plentiful and the salad was so rich and tasty I ate every leafy green. Let me be clear: I’m not a salad guy at all! But that’s what I’m ordering next time I go back. Save room for dessert. The donuts with decadent peanut butter crème was a sensuous flavor sensation hard to describe but I will never forget. Only been there twice for breakfast but the kolaches and benedicts were both fantastic. I feel like a gourmet when I eat here, but the comfort food side of me is very, very happy.
Delicious brunch items, but a bit small so order two. Quaint space feels like you're dining in someone's house. Decent beer & wine list.
