I'm so glad a friend recommended I check out The Fix Studio. The online strength classes are excellent. Both Sophie and Otte are outstanding instructors. They are very clear when giving direction and no work out is ever easy! I have really benefited from doing the twice weekly classes as the exercises are challenging and help build full body strength. The Youtube videos are very helpful as well. I did one on one coaching & training with Sophie during the winter to improve my cycling fitness and on my first ride outside I immediately noticed improvement from previous years. I highly recommend The Fix Stuido for anyone wanting to improve their performance.
Excellent coaching that is tailored to me and flexible with my schedule. The goals I have set for myself have been met and exceeded as a result of the work we have done together. Highly recommend!
I have been virtually working out at The Fix since Late 2020 and it has been the best decision I have ever made. I am not a gym person, not a racer, not an event person ~ I just like to ride my bike and feel fit while doing it around town, road, gravel. I knew about The Fix, but always thought it was for other hard core cyclists, not people like me ~ I was wrong. I have not only found the perfect place to work out, but I have met many like-minded friends here too almost all virtually!. Thanks to Sophie and Otte I have become more fit, better balanced, and am able to enjoy my Summer riding more because of the good foundation of winter training. One bonus I didn't consider when I started working out here was how much I would come to enjoy, and be a better athlete because of, are the Core + Strength classes. I look forward to these classes and have come to learn how important they are to me mentally, physically, and for being a successful cyclist. The perfect balance to the virtual cycling classes here. Additionally, if you cycle for fitness, you are eventually going to have some aches and pains. Do yourself a favor and schedule a Comprehensive Bike Fit. My bike was fitting pretty well, but what wasn't was my understanding of my body balance or lack of. After two sessions Sophie properly assessed my physical issues and gave me exercises to work on correcting them. And my issue went away! And when I started experiencing hip pain, Sophie gave me exercises to make the issue improve as well. Hooray! Sophie KNOWS what she is doing, you can trust her to help you. Working out here is not just a temporary thing, they provide ongoing coaching to make your physical fitness, and lifestyle, successful now and in the future. I really feel part of a community here, and I feel like people 'have my back' and are looking out for me. So thankful to have The Fix in my life, especially as I age I'm 50. Worth every penny! Stop paying for a membership somewhere else that you won't use, and invest here in yourself and your community!
The Fix Studio in person classes in the past, and now with virtual classes, continues to be an excellent performance value and a wonderful source of community. The 60-90 minute structured interval cycling classes provide an efficient and productive work out. The transition from in-person to virtual class has been surprisingly successful - I'd never have guessed that the virtual structure would work as well as in person has, but it does. The live video interactions and teaching provide just as much motivation and connection as the live classes always did. The efficiency and convenience are top value. It was easy to get set up to join from home, and the consistent schedule provide a stable platform that makes it easy to stick with the routine.
I love the Fix Studio. I started working out at the Fix in 2012 to get in shape for a particular event. Then I became hooked on the Fix's interval workout and training with power. The workouts are the best return on investment on improving cycling fitness with a busy schedule, work and family obligations, and otherwise limited time. Eventually, I wanted to get even more serious with my training and began working with a coach to devise a training plan. As a result, I became the fittest I've ever been. I continue to do interval classes regularly. Sophie, Larry, and Otte have also established a great, welcoming, and friendly community of like-minded cyclists, initially with group rides and later with the cafe. The group gravel rides are a great way to get into gravel riding and enjoy the company of other gravel enthusiasts, judgment-free. In the post-pandemic world, the online classes are a convenient way to ride on the trainer/rollers at home while staying motivated by riding virtually with others. The Fix's core/stretching/lifting online classes are a nice compliment to cycling as well. If you're at all interested in improving your cycling fitness, give the Fix a try. You won't regret it.
The Fix has the best strength classes for cyclists and Sophie and Otte are the kindest, most supportive trainers. I always leave any interaction with them feeling strong and they never make anyone in the cycling community feel less than, no matter their experience level. <3
Excellent, focused, friendly training with no gimmicks. If you're serious about being adventure-ready, this is the place!
This is one of my favorite places to pick up a coffee. I meet my friends there to start bike rides, and I also walk there with my dog since they welcome her inside.
So much combined knowledge and skill and love for what they do! They listen to their athletes and really do personalize the training.
Got a sports massage from Sophie after throwing my back out, and I can't say enough about how great this place is. Fantastic, professional, and friendly. The massage was excellent: sports-science at work. If you're in need of training, conditioning, or body repair I highly, highly recommend The Fix Studio.
