Description

Pinehurst is America's largest and most storied golf resort with nine championship courses. Built in 1895 by James Walker Tufts, Pinehurst was originally a health resort for New Englanders looking to escape the harsh winters. Donald Ross built the first course in 1901 and the rest, as they say, is history. Pinehurst has been the site of every major Championship including the Ryder Cup, U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur and PGA Championship. In 2014 Pinehurst hosted the U.S. Open and U.S. Women's Open Championships in back-to-back weeks.

I can Not say enough things about this resort. There’s a wonderful gym, spa, and a ton of history throughout the halls. And of course great golf but the absolute best part is the service. I swear everyone wakes up each day with the intent to ensure each guests is having a magical day. Some cool things to mention - do the dinner plan. Well worth quality of food for price - rent bikes and travel the resort - free BMW rentals to get around town
The Pinehurst Resort is amazing! Driving up to the Carolina is impressive. All of the grounds are well manicured. The hotel staff are top-notch. Friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The dinning experience is just as impressive. We stayed in the Holly because of the pool. We loved the pool. What a great retreat!
I attended a conference at the Resort and was impressed by the accommodations and service. There is a culture of excellence that permeates the building that goes beyond traditional training. The Staff seemed to look for opportunities to serve and they did so in a manner that demonstrated that they were focused on the Guest experience. I did not play golf, but will do so next year after a few more lessons!
World class, heaven on earth! Jose was an awesome caddie. The cradle is where every night should end! Can't wait to go back
The Pinehurst resort never disappoints, especially the team at the Manor! We are ALWAYS greeted with a smile and kind word! Highly recommend a Pinehurst stay... looking forward to our next visit.
Pinehurst Golf Resort is, without a doubt, my favorite place on earth. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Carolina Hotel and playing Pinehurst #2, and everything was truly first class. The accommodations at the hotel were luxurious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Playing Pinehurst #2 was an incredible experience, and it's easy to see why it's consistently ranked as one of the best courses in the country. The course was challenging, but fair, and the impeccable condition of the course was a testament to the care and attention that the staff puts into maintaining it. Playing the Cradle was a highlight as well. Overall, my experience at Pinehurst Golf Resort was unforgettable, it absolutely exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to go back.
Went here for a friends 50th birthday. Be mindful if you have a large group we had 12. Their back office accounting and billing is a mess. I think every single person in our group had at least one billing error...
Stayed here for my brother's bachelor weekend. When I checked into my room it seemed like everything was wet. The room was full of moisture and had a dank smell throughout my stay. The turndown service for the rooms is a joke. Beds were made but no cleaning was done. For what we paid for three nights you would expect a certain level of service and accommodations. We did not have any Disney owned channels ESPN, ABC so we were unable to watch any of the big games on college football's opening weekend due to Spectrum have a dispute with Disney not the hotels fault but requests for a solution were dismissed. The best part of staying at the hotel was the breakfast buffet, where food and service were tremendous this alone earned the star on my review. My experience at the Carolina Dining Room was probably the worst part of my stay. We had a server that was not responsive to my request to order appetizers and walked away from me in mid conversation. He once again walked away from me when I was trying to order a refill on my mocktail he almost snickered when I ordered a non alcoholic beverage because I don't drink. On top of this he did not check on us once food was bussed. It was to the point that the excellent food was ruined by subpar service during our dinner. Overall, it was a VERY disappointing experience for the amount of money I paid to stay at the Pinehurst resort.
Pinehurst is not just for golfers! My daughter and I recently spent our annual Mother/Daughter weekend here. The accommodations, the shopping and dining are all fabulous! The Spa is very nice too but definitely needs some updates.
8 of us had a wonderful experience at Pinehurst. All the staff were nice and accommodating. The weather happened to be prefect. We played 3 rounds of golf #8, #2, #4. Each course has its own personality but share on thing in common, the putting surfaces were fast. A caddie was extremely beneficial and recommended will playing at Pinehurst.
