This is a wonderful park to check out native plants and rock formations. The garden was very educational and great for all ages. It’s located right in the city with parking. You can get a nice Birds Eye view of the city from top of the rocks. Many hikes available and most are easy even for children. Highly recommended.
Very nice free park, with a great desert garden, including small waterfall, stream with fish and a deeper pool with fish, which you can view from the side. Plenty of parking and most of the garden is wheelchair accessible. Since water fountains, but not tasty. Drive further on to other parking and you have take e starting there. You can try to climb up through the crack if you're young or skinny, else it's too tight. After a hot trail, go over to IceBerg couple of minutes by car to cool down with a great milkshake...
It's a nice park, easy to walk, and has a lot of attractions like Dixie Rock, Boy Scout Cave, Pioneer Hills, slot canyons, arches, and more. This was my first time going hiking, and it was a great choice. If you like climbing, this is one of the best places to go in St. George. I will definitely like to return. Also, you can visit the Red Hills Desert Garden. Restrooms: You have one close to Dixie Rock Dog-friendliness: Saw many dogs, it very nice Picnic area: The are some tables, a little dirty but you can have some food there
Best place to visit in St. George. It is free and a ton of fun. First entrance to the right take you to a garden that is full of plants which all of them have name tag. It was many different categories of plants. Also, the garden was wheelchair friendly. Along the way has many parking lots which leads you to different trails and many fun hike to see red rock.
Son wanted to hike and see “ancient ruins” so we hit up pioneer park. Great time, super easy hikes and fun time. Would recommend for over weight hikers like myself lol
I found this place on map. They said that it is paradise for rock climbers. My elder daughter is a rock climber, so I brought her here. It is amazing. I saw several people just parked the car and go somewhere and disappear. I followed them and find the narrow. At that time my mom remembered that she had been here and take the challenge before with my sister's family. And she did it. My daughter and my wife did it too. Unfortunately I am a bit too fat to pass.
Dixie Rock did not disappoint! My wife, 13 year old son, and I had so much much hiking/climbing around. The 360° views are breathtaking! We easily spent a couple hours there.
This was such a fun climb! Lots of places to climb and hike. You can get way up there for a great view of the city! I suggest spending an hour or 2 at minimum exploring here. So much fun!
Great little place for a quick hike. Look remote but it is practically in the city.
Okay, so I visited Pioneer Park in St. George, Utah, and let me tell you, it's a fantastic spot for all those "non-hikers" out there who secretly want to pretend they're hardcore trailblazers. The park's easy trails and smooth paths are perfect for those who prefer a leisurely walk but still want to post those Instagram-worthy "hiking" pics. Don't worry; I won't spill your secret! The views are stunning, and even though it's not exactly Everest, the sense of achievement after conquering a "summit" is undeniably satisfying. So, if you're a non-hiker seeking an outdoor adventure without breaking a sweat, Pioneer Park is the place for you! Happy faux-hiking!
