Today was my first visit here. I was very happy with the office. It was clean and welcoming. The staff was awesome!! All of them were sweet, professional and really seemed to love their jobs. Dr. Veratti was wonderful and thorough. I highly recommend this office to anyone who is looking for an optometrist.
I have sent many people to Dr Floyd for various reason, the primary one is that they couldn't see; and some were going to eye surgeons. Afterwards, they were thrilled. Dr Floyd had mastered his craft. The staff is efficient and helpful, with state of the art equipment. FEA is 5 stars, hands down, for our family.
I'm so grateful for Pitman Family Eyecare! Dr. Richard Floyd graciously met me at his office for an emergency visit just past midnight, and was quick and thorough with his work, removing the foreign object from my eye. I'm a contract climber, so I do tree work, but even with a full mesh face shield, wood chips and tree debris can sometimes get in my eyes. Normally flushing and eye drops help, but this time it was different. I waited too long hoping whatever was in there would come out on its own, so after hours of discomfort and pain without being able to sleep I finally started Googling what my options were. I called Pitman Family Eyecare's emergency number expecting to leave a message, but Dr Richard Floyd answered right away and agreed to meet me at his office in 15 minutes... Wish I would have called a lot sooner! I feel terrible for waking him/his family up but I'm so grateful for his help. I highly recommend him, and look forward to returning in a few weeks once my eye is completely healed - probably need glasses, as I'm loosing my vision as I get older
What a wonderful experience! From the first exam through getting my glasses everyone I dealt with was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I didn't just get glasses, I received a comprehensive exam and had a discussion about maintaining my eye health. Then the staff guided me in selecting the right lenses and frames for me and made sure I understood everything and that I was happy with my service. I'd been using a national chain, who were nice, but there is no comparison for the personal and quality care I received at Dr. Floyd's. Thank you!
I could not be happier about my experience at Pitman Family Eyecare. The staff are welcoming, friendly, thorough, helpful, and professional. They helped me pick glasses that fit my face shape and offered suggestions on how to best use my insurance. My glasses were ready in 24 hours and I walked away with a year supply of contacts the same day. Normally I would have to wait at least a week for both of those things at other eye doctors. I was so impressed by my whole experience at Pitman Family Eyecare. I will definitely be going here from now on.
Dr. Floyd is the best! I have been a long time patient over 25+ years of his office and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. His office staff are professional, knowledgeable and caring. His exams are always thorough and he spends just the right amount of time with each patient so that I’ve never felt rushed. He’s knowledgeable and keeps up to date with technology. I’ve had a few eye concerns over the years and he’s been quick with a diagnosis and treatment if applicable. His practice is not a large national chain type of practice so that his patients never feel like a number. He really cares about each patient. His office accepts quite a few different vision plans and his prices are reasonable. I use VSP and it covered a high percentage of my exam and new eyeglasses. I’ve moved out of state and still see Dr. Floyd for my eye exams & any eye concerns. I trust him with my eyes.
I’ve been coming here for a little over a year and couldn’t praise Pitman Family Eyecare enough. State of the art technology and professional staff make this office a pleasure to come to for my eyecare needs. Dr. Floyd always works with everyone and is dedicated to making sure you get the service you need.
I have been a patient for a while but I recently started wearing contacts, and the staff was very helpful and patient with me as I learned how to put them in and out and adjust from glasses to contacts. Dr. Floyd was courteous and explained everything to me, so I knew what to expect. The office staff went over everything concerning what my insurance would cover and could not have been more helpful. The office atmosphere is very friendly and family like and much more personal than a big chain type place. I would highly recommend Pitman Family Eyecare for a friendly and personal experience.
My whole family has been seeing Dr. Floyd for about 20 years. He is a very good eye Dr. He is understanding and was even great with my special needs son. My son is in a wheelchair and they are always very accommodating to help us with him. The staff has always been very nice and very helpful even helps my wife pick out her frames every time. It has always been a very pleasant experience each time we go there.
This is supposed to be a family Eyecare service, but the quality of service is very poor. While Dr. Floyd is knowledgeable and friendly, the staff are rude and unprofessional. I brought my son to choose his eye glasses. When we first walked in, the staff didn’t even say hello to welcome us. That’s fine. I had to be the proactive one mind you I’m the customer to reach out to one of the staff and ask where the children glasses can be found. I helped my son choose his glasses. Then we went to the small desk so we could get the process started, but the lady said she is helping someone else and we need to wait. That’s fine. I told my son to wait in the single chair while I stood next to him. After 15 minutes, a woman with 3 children walked in with boxes of lenses. The young staff who was helping the father and daughter both adults choose eye glasses, went behind the “L” desk to help the woman who brought back boxes of lenses apparently she received the wrong lenses. I was upset and I asked why no one would help us. That young staff said to me while working with the lady with the boxes of lenses “I’m helping those father and daughter choose eye glasses right now”. I was appalled and I said “then why are you helping that lady when my son and I were here first? We have been waiting for help”. Mind you all 3 staff were fully aware that my son and I have been waiting to be serviced. She didn’t give me a response and just continued processing the lady’s transaction in front of the computer. None of the staff said anything. No apology and no explanations for the unprofessional treatment. So, I put back the eye glasses in the shelf that I was going to buy for my son, and walked out of the store! Since the staff obviously didn’t want our business that’s a loss of 5 customers from my family alone!, we decided to leave. It’s a shame that they do not know how to treat customers with respect.
