Platte River Campground

Gorgous camp grounds,first come first serve bases no reservations right on the platte river tammy & husband are your campground hosto very Nice couple.get there early friday morning before they fill up. Restrooms: Hole in the ground toilets. Picnic area: Day use area has tables&grills

Campground was clean and the scenery was beautiful. It is first come first serve and it’s pretty popular so get there early. There was no host so bring your own firewood and there is a vault toilet but no water so be prepared.

Perfect location for fly fishing base camp. Camp host is friendly and informative. Limited number of sites, well maintained.

The campsite is clean. Camping fee is reasonable. The bathroom needs a bit work, as they should keep it cleaner. It's beautiful there.

Good camp ground by the river for tent camping only. Good for a couple nights. Only vault toilets on site. Most of the sites have good shade. Pack it in pack it out.

Friendly camp host and well maintained bathrooms and grounds. We stayed there for a while and loved it so much! We saw so much wildlife and my daughter learned a lot being out there. We will most definitely be returning!

Attendant on site. Restroom, grills and camping sites available. There is a parking fee. A daily parking fee is $7.00 an overnight parking fee i believe is $22.00. The highway above is not loud at all. Beautiful views.

Loved this campground! It was so beautiful and perfect for our toddler’s first time. We somehow forgot the stakes for our tent at home but Don rescued us and let us borrow some! And we loved his dog Pineapple!

Beautiful spot, wonderful camp hosts. Minus 1 star because you can't park your car at your campsite.

The site is exquisite. The photos attached show what it looks like waking up at 7am and opening up the tent from the most upper campsite. across the river, there's a path for the animals traveling along. some people have spotted moose. I spotted a couple deer while we were here. The camp hosts are absolutely phenomenal. They sell firewood there as well. You should prefer to buy from the site you stay at. It's about an hour from Denver, so super convenient, very beautiful, and easily accessible. The ground is all gravel rocks and dirt. Lots of different kinds of ants, but they're sparse at the sites. They tend to stay away from people. Overall, it's an amazing experience and we'll be back as often as possible :
