This was my first visit here and I will definitely be back!! The ladies who work the check in booth are very nice & helpful! The lake is gorgeous! We had the best camping spot right by the water for our kayaks! Beautiful sunrise & sunsets!! Love it here!!
Expansive campground! Even though it was retro camper weekend there was plenty of sites to choose from. Marina was open late, small selection. Live band was fantastic. Showers were cold, not an ounce of hot water.
PLENTY of camping spots to choose from. $5 for a day pass , $12 for a camping pass. Bring water shoes! Very rocky. Plenty of people out fishing as well. Wish I brought a fishing rod myself!
Great park. Wonderful events and perfect staff and host. The Vintage camper and car show was wonderful. See you next year. Kary S. and Poppy
The modern cabins are very nice! If you fish, this is an amazing park. If not, there isn't a ton to do.
We have camped here over the years. We had a family reunion here and the memories came back of all the fun times. Many beautiful places to camp. This lake also has all types of camping spots from cabins, electric and water and septic, as well as primitive sites. Playground: A few areas with swings and other equipment Restrooms: Several restrooms and bathhouses with showers. Picnic area: You can get a day pass for picnics. Also has umbrella like concrete pads and roofs.
Pomona Lake is a wonderful lake, been coming for 40 years and to the state park for 2 years. Stayed at the Heart Stays area this time. My only real complaint is the state charges just to drive onto their parks but the facilities are lacking at Pomona State park. Need to invest in modern bath houses and major work needed on the state park swim beach. We only camp at the state park during off season when the Corp of Engineers parks are closed.
This is a really nice and clean lake. We stayed in cabins, which were clean and maintained. The host were super nice. The lake is very close to the cabins. The marina is stocked, clean and the clerk is super nice. I'd definitely recommend and return.
Camped three nights at Cedar Wind Loop. Good level sites with good shade and space for the dogs. Pleasant neighbors in the loop. We hiked some very nice trails that went right along the shore line. The lake looked very nice but we did not have an opportunity to use the water. Cell service could be spotty because of its remoteness which we enjoyed very much and the well established trees; however the hotspot worked well enough for work. Overall we enjoyed the park.
Stayed a week at a cabin on the Vassar side and it was absolutely amazing. Our porch was within 75 feet of the water and fishing was Abundant. The cabin itself is exceptionally quaint and very well kept with all dishes and cookware supplied. There is a small disc golf course that is fun to play. The marina has carp that come to the docks and you can hand feed and even pet. Donna, the lady that keeps the cabins and camp area tidy is one of the sweetest persons you could ever meet but this was her last season and it's SD to see such a good person go. If you are wanting a little cozy escape from everyday life I very highly recommend checking out the park. Be prepared to put your phones down too because coverage is poor but that's one of the best things there. 10/10 will definitely go again!
