It's lovely. So far the cleanest water and 8t was so pleasant. I loved the beach and sea, it was nice and clean at the beach. There is paid parking to get to the beach and it's 5 mins walk from the parking lot to the beach. Next time I'll explore other beaches around. U can also do different water activities here on your own.
This is the cleanest most beautiful golden beach I ever went to. The backdrop is simply amazing! Entry fees is $10 for entire day, until 7 pm I believe, and includes Baldwin Beach and Meeks Bay. It's worth it to spend a day here just chilling, swimming, and doing water sports like kayaking. Charges are less than some other kayaking companies in Tahoe. Sufficient parking on a weekday when we visited. Ducks are super friendly. Public toilets were cleaner than I expected. Totally recommended!
This is a fairly nice Beach that has restrooms and picnic tables. I highly recommend going during the week or on Friday early morning. There is a lot of Beach to explore and it didn't really start getting ugly busy until about 2:00 in the afternoon which was right about the time I was leaving so it was perfect. Parking is $10 cash and you are allowed propane grills
It’s actually really nice to find a beach just beside a campground. This beach is near camp Richardson. I only visited in the evenings. It’s not much crowded from the late afternoon. If you are bringing your vehicle, you will need to take a pass for $10. There are benches available and people were kayaking even.
After 2 days having difficulty finding a parking spot and less-hiking trail to the beach, we finally reached Pope Beach and really had a blast here. For anyone who brings kids and do not liking steep hiking trails, this is the right place. We visited at least 3 beachs in Tahoe area, and this is the best one. The entrance ticket is 10usd you have all access to other parks. What we really like here is the long seaside with sand, suitable for installing tents and the washrooms are clean. The swimming area is clean, no aglea. However, no pets are allowed here and you need to bring your own foods as there are no food shops here.
One of the beaches of Lake Tahoe suitable for camping and swimming. If you really want to enjoy the beauty here, go with time,go with leisure, spend more than couple of hours, One more positive point for pope beach is being very near by to the centre area of Lake Tahoe. Pay $10 entry fee here-preserve the ticket as is valid for other famous beach as well but to be visited on the same day.
Nice, clean, ample parking that is very close to the beach. It does worth the $10 to get in!Highly recommend
Great and popular place for picnic and kayaking. Weekends it's very crowded and so go early or be prepared for parking problems. There are enough bathrooms but half of them were out of order.
We visited on a Saturday evening around 5 PM. Found it very crowded, a little dirty beach. Could be different during non rush days. Pier has good views. Can try a couple of water activities around and swimming as well
So worth the entrance fee of $10 per car. This beach is one of my favorite from South Lake Tahoe where you have access to a good enough beach area but an entry point to a good kayak or standing paddle activity. Enjoy while you are here and since I miss this place a lot, share a lot more pics and videos
