My girlfriend and I went here for a first date, and we were helped by lovely Jadia! Only issue is parking and how close we are to a very loud highway, but other than that the experience was perfect!
Lots of fun, a TON of paint choices, AWESOME staff 10/10 will be frequenting this establishment often
I painted several items recently at Pottery 2 Paint, to the tune of $54. When I was finishing up one of the ornaments, I noticed paint did not adhere where the price sticker had been removed from the back see picture. I pointed it out to the employee working that day and she assured me they would fix it by sponging more paint on that area and firing it twice if needed. My husband picked up my order for me. The employee there at the time showed him my pieces, but did not turn them over. I had to get all the ornaments in the mail as they were Xmas gifts. I assumed that Pottery 2 Paint would provide a replacement ornament for me to paint and I would send it to replace the bad one. I was wrong. I reached out to the owner and long story short, she said it was my fault for not finding the problem when picked up. The best she would do was waive a studio fee, but would charge me for another $6 ornament. So, paying for an ornament twice, mailing it twice and considering a portion of the original studio fee, the ornament would cost me nearly $20! This makes me very sad. I've spent hundreds of dollars at Pottery 2 Paint over the years. Luckily, there's another, nicer place to paint pottery in town, so I'll be taking my business there from now on. They lost a loyal customer over a $6 ornament.
What a wonderful way to spend time with a friend than go to the Pottery 2 paint any large selection of pottery pieces and many colors to chose from, spend a few hours painting and wondering the out come of the piece that you painted... Some time later after the Kiln has done it's part you see what a awesome job you and your friend has done.. I highly recommend take the time to stop and paint your own piece...
I had a lot of fun, I'm making light switch plates for my living room. They were very polite and had a nice atmosphere. My only complaint but not really complaint is that they dont have light switch plates for single light switches or light sliders.
I enjoy going there it's under new owners and they are doing a good job. My family enjoy the opportunity to paint and decorate pieces. They are a nice alternative to the normal day out with the family. The owners are not new to the business they worked there so I think it is in good hands. The only reason I didn't give them a higher rating is because I was looking for something out of the ordinary. Maybe I am not being fair however that has been something I was able to do in the past. I like that it is connected to a candy store that makes wonderful confections. As well as good coffees and hot chocolate. So please give it a try!
I went with my daughter and grandkids. We had a blast. They we're very helpful and due to timing they had to ship my piece home. It came out better than expected and in one piece. I loved the coffee, candy shop with gifts next store. Fabulous experience...I would have loved to have taken a class there. Great place to have a party or a meet-up group.
Ive gotten 2 take home kits to have my one year old finger paint on mugs as gifts to family and it’s always been a very easy process, the mugs always turn out great, and the customer service is great! The girls are always very nice and i love that they require masks in the store. Its also amazing they do curbside and bring out your kits to you as well as take it from you when you’re done. It makes it very easy when you have a little one that you don’t like taking into public places due to the pandemic !! Highly recommend this place
Lots of fun and a great way to show your creativity. Staff are all wonderful and super helpful!
On vacation here in Rapid City. So many wonderful, historical and unique experiences here in which to visit....our 11 and 9 year old girls saw this place while we were driving and so after a day at Reptile Gardens, we wanted to wind down. Let me tell you how quaint and spacious this space is. Most of you know what type of business this is...pick a piece of pottery, paint it, and they fire it for you. So...the special part of this is that our kids each have their own unique way of completing tasks. One is very methodical and the other cannot easily choose from many options. The ladiesstaff here were absolutely amazing at displaying patience, kindness and genuine interest in our daughters varied behaviors! Tori, Summer and Karen are all outstanding people and employees! Coming from another state, and having such a great and relaxed experience for our family meant so very, very much to us. The final kicker was that we were there past closing due to some painting to be finished by our 9 year old and these ladies made her feel special and important for her choices and did not ever rush her! Please stop in and give this business some patronage...it’s worth it and you will not be disappointed!!
