If you get the chance, I would highly recommend this mini walk, which gives excellent views of the bay! We calculated the route as roughly .25 miles around the entire area, and almost all of it can be walk around the beach. The beach is great, and if you have a dog, it’s a great area to let them off and have them run around and have a little fun!
If you’re visiting this bainbridge island just for one day, this spot if perfect to watch a sunset or even the ferries and boats take off. A nice little trail you have to walk to get to the water and sand. Great if you have kids or dogs. The parking is not that big though but it doesn’t seem to be a very crowded spot.
Nice beaches and not too many crowds. You can get a nice view of the ferry terminal and even views of downtown Seattle!
Beautiful! Porta potty
Great scenery and good for animals but limited on what you can do. Spent an hour here soaking up the views and moved on.
What an Amazing place to visit Year Round. The Japanese Exclusion Memorial is Special.
Excellently maintained trails and beach access. Very dog friendly!
This is the nicest sand beach on Bainbridge, however it is not private as it sits across from the ferry terminal and waterfront houses, and next to marinas. It is absolutely lovely for sunset and a nice dip. Great to arrive by watercraft if you can which you can rent or launch from Waterfront Park, and just pull right up on the sandy shore. On 4th of July the beach is full of revelers with campfires, music and games to watch the official Bainbridge fireworks, which are launched directly in front of this beach from a barge. The few hiking trails in the forest are nice too. Enjoy!
This area is a former Superfund site, due to the creosote operation that used to be here. But it's been cleaned up by the EPA, and now offers shoreline access that is greatly needed on this part of Bainbridge. You have fabulous views of the sound and of the Seattle waterfront off in the distance. It's usually pretty deserted.
While you won't find a pickle ball court on this beach, it is named after the man who supposedly invented the game here on Bainbridge back in the early 60's. Best sandy beach, dogs of all sizes enjoy the sand, water, and an occasional crab treat.
