I’ve been at this gym for a little over a week. It is hands down the cleanest gym I’ve been to in LA. Never crowded, and the owner Risky is great. I 10/10 recommend this place to anyone.
From two years ago: It's small, quiet other than overhead music playing, and always clean. I gladly pay the extra money for clean, working equipment, and pleasant atmosphere. I never have to wait for a machine I want. Wish it had longer weekend hours and a few other pieces of equipment that I like but what Proficiency has works for me. Update: 6/15/22 I was a pre-Covid member that really enjoyed working out at the old location; but I just rejoined and the new location is phenomenal!!! There's plenty of parking. I really appreciate their having a mobile app operated locked entry door. I absolutely LOVE the high ceilings, floor to ceiling? windows, and perfect temperature/air circulation. The space is plenty large so that you've got elbow room between machines - even though it's no where close to being a high-traffic gym another huge plus!. It's a peaceful, super-CLEAN place to burn off those Covid-calories with workout towels and separate towels for cleaning. The quality here can't be beat - it's worth every penny - and I'm so glad to be back!
Wonderful neighborhood gym that prides itself on cleanliness and getting healthy. They have 3 bathrooms and many many towels to use. They have every to if with account equipment including treadmills, free weights, weight machines, and yoga mats. There is never a time when it's too crowded and the privacy allows you to with out at your own pace. Although a little bit pricier than large gyms, you get what you pay for here.
Love this gym! Clean facilities, not super crowded and very convenient. I was a member 4 years ago and I joined again recently, and it's been fantastic. The owner is a great trainer too. 10/10

What a wonderful little gym! This place is like a high-end hotel gym, it's very low-key, super clean, never crowded, and the owner runs it like a clock. I love it!
