Very accommodating for a big family reunion! Worked great for 38 people, 7 families. It's not glamorous, but it is clean and has everything you need for mealtime. A big yard to play in, a creek to float down in tubes and a swing over a small pond. We had a blast! Beautiful location, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the outside.
10/10 recommend going with your family! We did the tent area with our kids for a family reunion and it was perfect! Bathrooms and showers are kept clean! The cutest river for “kid” rafting and a pond to float in! We will be going back!Location: 5/5
This place is amazing! The location, facility and the staff were great! I couldn't asked for a better place to have such an amazing time. The river and pond were super fun to play in as well. I love this place!!! Food & drinks: Outlaw bbq on site was great food! Yummy!!!
This campground is a hidden gem. I can not wait until we get to come back. I had so much fun and the scenery was outstanding.Rooms: 5/5
We first discovered this place abiut 10 years ago. Just about 2 hours outside of Salt Lake is this little paradise in the desert. You're driving down a desert road, go up a small hill, and come down into a little oasis. Amenities are great without ruining the camping experience. Heated restrooms and shower important when it's like 38 degrees out on a spring night, a "lodge" with 8-10 rooms, and plenty of TV and tent camping available. There's a small river, with a creek joining it, and they've even added a small swimming hole. For events, they do have an event tent with TVs and projectors, but it's even pretty subtle in its own way, so you still feel like you're camping. Camp hosts were amazing and welcoming, as were the folks that help out when the hosts are away from the camp. There is nothing about this place that I would change.
Went to a family reunion. Nearly flooded while i was there. But the groundskeeper kept us informed. I gave it the rating cause i did not sleep in any of the rooms I rented a hotel because we had over 120 people at our shindig. Families with kids were priority. But the scenery was gorgeous no doubt. critiques: Road enroute after the freeway exit turns into a dirt road halfway thro. there are a plenty of rocks from the canyon that fall onto the road. Dont take yer low ride hot rod unless you wanna pay a couple thousand to replace some car guts. Thought that would be obvious They water their grass circle with water from the creek that passes through the camp ground...all day... everyday... so when your thinkin lets play some football on that super green field in front of the camper parking spots think "watersports" not the kinky kind or find another place to have fun. there is another large field where the lodges are so go there. They're serious about keeping the grass green in their desert canyon... its the way nature intented grass-in-a-desert to be...
My wife and our 2 girls stayed at the resort in 1 of the cabin. The girls stayed up in the loft while we slept on a very comfortable queen bed. The host and his wife are super nice, accommodating and down to earth! They work very hard and took pride in their palace! We stayed 3 nights and wanted to stay a lot longer but unfortunately reality hits us in the face :. The cabin was very clean, I was able to use the kitchen and the bbq to prep food which was awesome! We were able to purchase firewood on site and had bond fire at night while we roasted smores and watched the stars! During the day, we hung out around the "Pool", rope swing into the river, and floated down the river on our kayak! We also hiked up the rocks surrounded the camp. It was the most relaxing weekend for us! Highly recommend this place!
I rented out this whole resort for my wedding and I absolutely loved it : I love that it is family, kid, and pet friendly. Everyone that came had a blast, there are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. It is secluded and absolutely stunning! I've already had some family members reserve spots to go back. Laura, the owner, was amazing to work with and was very helpful with all our needs. I would and will recommend this resort to anyone.
Had a family reunion there. We rented the whole resort for the weekend. We have been coming to this place for years and this time, under the new ownership and after the fire and floods, was the best yet! They have worked so hard to clean it up and make it better than every before. Such a nice facility.
Resort was circled with mountains and had plenty to keep us entertained each day of our visit with a few playgrounds, a river, and tons of open space for playing. The lodge was a great meeting place when not sitting around the fire pit. Wonderful experience and a great get away.
