If you have to go for an xray or MRI, ignore the signs photo attached, which are completely wrong, and steel yourself for gatekeeper attitudes. The receptionists will look blankly at you after saying, "You're in the wrong place," then pointing vaguely toward the next building also wrong and providing no specifics. I repeated this two or three times and was in tears by the time I finally got someone on the phone and was directed to the Emergency Department - of all places - to sign in. Once there, the front desk had no idea about the misdirecting signage and had the referring doctor's name wrong as well as my partner's simple first name wrong. Again, no apology, no explanation, just an expression that said, "I hate my job and think you're stupid." The clinical staff for both xray and MRI were lovely, by the way. I don't know what the heck's wrong with the rest of them.
I wouldn’t give this hospital one star if I was paid. I went in for severe stomach pains at 7 am. The things I experienced at this hospital and lack of care and nurses available to help those who needed it most is absolutely disgusting. I watched an older gentleman fall to the floor after asking the front desk if he would be able to be seen for whatever reason but he seemed very out of it and he fell to the floor, hit his head and these random nurses came from strange places in the hospital with their hands behind their backs just watching over him. Meanwhile everyone in the waiting room was just staring. Another person in the waiting room was brought by ambulance just to be put in the waiting room. The hospital was lining up chairs for the night prepared for the people to come and there was one doctor on call. They should have said something! This place is an absolute joke. I was there for over 10 hours waiting on results from a ct scan and never received those because the one doctor on call was too busy to just take a brief second to let me know what’s going on. This place is not a well set up hospital and are setting their employees up for a disaster!
We took our toddler in for a medical reason, this was our first time here and they were so sweet, they listen to all my concerns and were very nice. I highly recommend coming here. I don’t really leave reviews but this place was amazing. Very nice people. We also got into a ER room quickly like 2 mins and we were in a room.
Went here on 09/04/05. Advised check in that it was not a emergency. Just wanted opinion on a skin legon. Didn't want to make appointment tell I had to. Waited in lobby for 3 hours, put into a make shift help room with portable divider in it with no privacy. Dr said I should have waited to see my regular doctor don't have one. Said nothing he could do for me. Gave me a referral to skin doctor 30 miles away. Very rude in the way he talked to me, tone of voice, the way he basically threw the paper work at me. I guess this is what happens when they hire traveling doctor and helpers.
This is the worst, most unprofessional, most unkind, most undignified, most rude, LAUGHABLE emergency room if they can even call it that. I have ever been to. I will never go to another Providence hospital ever again. I arrived with numbness down my left side from my face to my left finger tips, and other stroke symptoms. I could barely walk without passing out. I was stuck in the waiting room for hours before triage even called me back. The triage nurse was SO RUDE. I caught myself thinking to myself what kind of place keeps a woman like her employed ? When explaining my symptoms to her she interrupted me, shot me a glare and said WHICH ONE ARE YOU HERE FOR. I said lady I'm pretty concerned about the SIGNS OF STROKE IM HAVING. She sent me back into the waiting room. No meter. No nothing. Hours later another triage nurse calls me back. They gave me an EKG and then sent me right back into a waiting room inside the hospital for hours. No meter. Nothing. I could barely breathe. This room had people waiting for covid results. AWESOME. I was not being tested for covid. This room had a max capacity of six people. And we alwere at six. NO STAFF CAME INTO THIS ROOM TO CHECK ON ANYONE UNTIL AN OLD MAN FELL ASLEEP AND A NURSE STOPPED TO CHECK HIS PULSE. You literally have to look dead to catch someone's attention here. I have never felt like I was doing something wrong by not feeling well before. That's what going to this hospital feels like Like your being punished. When you stop people in the halls for help, for an update, for anything , they just tell you they can't help you and walk away. Eventually after NINE HOURS OF not being able to breathe, an IV in my arm that had no purpose as it was not used, no assistance other than triage, a doctor comes to see me IN THE HALLWAY, AND TELLS ME TO GET A NOSE SPRAY. como? Affrin? For stroke symptoms? They literally saw me for thirty seconds and saw I have post nasal drip and threw discharge papers at me. I got my blood work results back in my MyChart while waiting and saw that my blood work was elevated. No one even looked at the blood work that they took. I would rather risk my life dying of a heart attack heading for Olympia, than ever go back to this hospital ever again. Avoid this hospital at all costs. A woman with half a lung and a history of strokes was in the waiting room for five hours without a meteor she had to leave to goto another emergency room cause she knew she was going to stroke out. They did nothing. This felt more like a prison than a hospital. Honest review. People are going to be misdiagnosed and die. I don't know how Providence keeps its name on this building.
This hospital is horrible. I was in the waiting room for the ER, I had taken a softball to the face not able to talk and could feel my jaw moving. As I sat there waiting about 30 minutes in came the x-ray tech and got me a CT scan and said it would take around 30-40’minutes. I waited 4 hours and didn’t hear a word. I’ve been here for 7 hours and haven’t seen one person go back in the ER. They have people literally checking out because nothing was happening. Terrible staff, lady at the front just sits on her phone and says “they will be with you shortly” doesn’t go look and get us updates or anything like that. Terrible hospital all around. It would be a 0 star if I was able to choose that option….
Centralia hospital is a joke. They have the worst nurses. They have absolutely no compassion for their patients or families. They don't check their patients regularly. They ignore alarms on the medical equipment. They take long then fifteen minutes to come help a patient. The lead nurses are rude and disrespectful. The staff lie and try to by time. Honestly they are the worst hospital I ever dealt with. If you love your family and friends do not let them ever stay at this hospital. They deserve a minus rating.
Worst ER iv EVER BEEN TO. The staff is even worse. Oh and the absolutely atrocious, rude, disrespectful nurse called me a drug searcher WHEN I went in for fluid IV, after drinking spoiled chicken on accident and throwing up to the point of severe dehydration, after having a major surgery. I didnt ask for pain pills even once!!! Who in their right mind would hire such an awful person. Shut the whole place down. It could not be more awful and id give -10 stars if i could. Truly truly disgusting place. Nothing is sanitary either
I’m currently sitting the waiting room, my 2 year old has a gash in his head, a little girl across from us has a broken nose, a woman was coughing and hyperventilating so hard she almost passed out, and another man was vomiting so hard in the restroom that we could hear him from the lobby.none of these people have been seen after sitting here for hours. This is legitimately the worst hospital I’ve ever been in. If you care about your family drive to St.Pete’s. The drive is worth it. Contrary to what Providence staff will tell you, you will not be waiting “just as long” as you would be at providence. Providence I’m begging you, please shut this facility down until you can function at a normal satisfactory level.
This place is a joke. We waited in the emergency waiting room for over 3 hours for my fiancée to get help and the most that happened is we saw someone in triage and he got a single heat pack. We weren't the only people too! I saw at least 3 other people get bearly any treatment or acknowledgement. That includes an elderly man stuck in a wheel chair and a child with a broken arm. We're never returning here, even if that means driving another 30 minutes to a different hospital for help
