Clean, comfortable, family friendly and minus the typical expensive concessions, nice. The only draw back is all the trekking just to get to the theater. Having to trek from the garage and through the crowded mall so full there were almost no empty seats in the food court, was the only, small downside. Would go again, just at another time of the day.
As far as what you expect from a movie theater, this place is just fine. The atmosphere once inside the room is where the problem is. I'd say it's not kids friendly, a lot of disrespectful teens, non-stop conversations, and exaggerated laughs happening while the movie is going. Lastly, keep an eye on the time spent there, $5 after 2 hours, I believe.
Pretty great theater. I had never been to an IMAX theater before so me and a few friends decided to check it out, it was awesome, screen was huge, sound was beautiful, honestly a really great way to see movies. My only gripe is that the seats are so close together, I had a child kicking my chair the whole time.
The movies and services are good. Everyone who works there is professional and courteous. But the seat numbering in the IMAX theater is incredibly confusing and causes unnecessary arguments between patrons as the movie starts. They have two employees functioning as ushers trying to help maintain peace and explain the numbering system to people who are confused but this doesn't always work, and it boils down to poorly placed signage for the seats. I've witnessed this twice and both times someone got displaced from a seat they selected. The company needs to fix this for the sake of their employees and customers. And whatever brainiac designed those seat numbers near everyone's feet with the tiny arrows needs a new job.
I am not a fan of this place. I can’t recall my previous experience here precovid but Theatre 9 smelled absolutely horrendous throughout the whole movie. It’s not just around the garbage but the whole theatre. Bartender was nice, people at concessions seemed to hate their job. I don’t think I’ll be able to go back to this place remembering the smell.
The theaters promotes being “de lux” but the seats were far from being de lux and are likely from the first day they opened decades ago. It’s a shame how they can get away with not updating their theaters and still charge a premium price. The north Attleboro movie theaters are far better and are the same price. The concessions line was so short and yet they managed to take 15 minutes to make a simple item. I will not be returning to this theater.
Nice and comfortable movie theater, always nice and clean with great staff. It was a very nice place to sleep through the 3 1/2 hour second Avatar movie.
came here last night for a movie, there were 4 staff working and 2 of them were on the phone constantly and didn’t even look up. 1 staff asked me to move from 1 computer to the next as he asked one of the 2 guys who were on the phone to take my order but they were so busy with the phone they didn’t hear him or chose to ignore him. He ended helping me with my popcorn and drink order, he looked so bored and barely looked up, it was apparent he didn’t want to be there. Not sure what was going on. The place was so dirty, napkins everywhere. It was not a good experience at all.
This is a true 70mm IMAX not LieMAX theater, of which there are only several dozen left in the country and definitely the only one in Rhode Island. The rows/numbers are quite difficult to see in the dark, so get there early to navigate where your assigned seat is. It's an incredibly immersive experience
I got a soda and spent $10 but that's just how movie theaters are lol. Workers were kind, the movie was great, and the seating was comfy but not super nice like the showcase in warwick
