I would stay here again and again! Gorgeous location set away from the craziness of downtown. Fantastic restaurants, beautiful bar, helpful staff, wonderful spa, lovely pool and amazing rooms. Exclusive intimate movie theater on the premises. Only downside is the expense of getting to downtown to get to tours and shopping. We willing definitely rent a car next time Safety: Absolutely the safest area on the island
Such a great experience overall. I stayed for 3 nights and everything was amazing. The food, the room, the service… top notch. Despite not being a beachfront property, they take you on a 5 minute ride free of charge to an incredible private beach. Highly recommend.
My family and I recently went to watch a movie at their in house theatre. It was a lovely experience. We ordered snacks, wine, and ice cream and it was delivered to us in the theatre. We booked the single and double couches and it was so comfortable. It was a lovely VIP experience. Very quaint and charming and although a little expensive it was worth the trip.
The service was great, and the food was average. I've eaten there before and remember the food being absolutely fantastic. However, the last outing was under par. Food lacked the flavor.
Beautiful property with beautiful views. Very chic and opulent! Love the theater it is very cozy and intimate, not very big, which is perfect! Safety: Safe area with security!
I came to visit the Island House while on vacation. The pool area was perfect and beautiful and the salad and guacamole was amazing. There was beautiful weather and I definitely enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The only downside is that there was only one attendant for the outside pool area. This made the service slightly slow. Food & drinks: The garden salad was really fresh with a nice dressing and the guacamole was really tasty as well.
Traveler BEWARE, UNETHICAL PRACTICES. United canceled our flight and there were no flights alternatives at all to reach Nassau. We contacted the property that ignored our message and said we had to contact booking. Booking imposed a $800 ish fee to cancel, booking asked the property to wave it. They didn't want to and instead they went ahead and charged our credit card over $1000 and not the $800 fee that booking was gonna charge, before we even confirmed cancellation, without our consent. Rude and unprofessional staff, i contemplated giving them a second chance, but after committing fraud and ignoring our questions, and lying about charging our card. I would stay away.
Location: 3 out of 5. The good is you are away from the cruise port and the busy parts of the island. The bad is if you want to do any excursions, you are probably 25-40 minutes away from them all. The worst part is during the day you can hear airplanes flying directly above you every 5-15 minutes, not relaxing at all. Property: 5 out of 5. Everything looks modern and updated. Intimate and easy to get around. Spa, Restaurants, Gym, and Pool all close. Rooms: 5 out of 5. Some rooms do not have the best views, but they are laid out nice and have everything you need. Beach: 3.5 out of 5. You do have to take a shuttle to the beach area. Which means if a group just left, it may be 15 minutes before it is back to take you. There are limited chairs at the beach, so be prepared for them all to be taken. It is also not very organized at the beach, with little to no attendants to help. The actual area is nice and not as crowded as many other beaches on the island. Restaurants: 3.5 out of 5. I did not enjoy anything from YellowBell. Shima was average. Mogano was the best option. Customer Service: 3 out of 5. Customer service was average, being like something you would find at a typical chain hotel. I did not feel it was up to the par that you would find at similar 4 and 5 star hotels in the Caribbean. There was hardly ever anyone servicing the pool area. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I would try Baha Mar out instead.
Everything was exceptional....service was on par every single time. The service especially from Sunny at the yellow bell was beyond great. Overall a wonderful experience.Service: 5/5
