Wish I could give a negative review. My daughter landed in their emergency room after a serious car accident. Hands down some of the worst care I have ever seen in a hospital. A bunch of med techs shuffling in and out for a couple hours asking the same questions over and over and after an accident in which the car was completely totaled and my daughter complaining of severe pain NOT ONE DOCTOR came to examine her. NONE. And only did she see a nurse after much complaining on my part. Call me a Karen, whatever. Someone not a doctor took X-rays AND looked at those X-rays also not a doctor, we came to find out. We never spoke to that person, just received news that everything was "fine" by a nurse and then discharged. THEN first thing in the morning, a DOCTOR from the emergency room called to tell us the X-ray had been misread and my daughter needed to come in immediately because she had a SPINAL FRACTURE. So there you have it. Subsequent MRI made it clear she should have been treated for this immediately as it was a serious condition. AVOID THIS PLACE.
I didn’t go in through the ER, I was transferred from another hospital but I had a wonderful stay at the Queen. My nurses and Respiratory therapists were so kind and helpful. I was there for a week and the only thing I could say wasn’t 5 stars would be the food- it was really pretty bad, but as far as the staff- it was all amazing. Would definitely refer friends and/or family there
The old ladies in front of the computers in the hospital rooms are so rude… i just asked where my loved one’s room was because he was nearing death. She glared at me and with an angry face she raised her voice and said “that way”. Two of the nurse assistants are so rough and uncaring of the patients. They constantly forgot to bring him medication or food, and they neglected any form of communication. The nurses and doctors would not answer questions clearly, they wouldn’t tell us what was wrong exactly and if there is any possibility of recovery. One of the nurse assistants had the nerve to tell us to send him to an alcoholic rehab group…. When we were there to support him on what looks like his deathbed… they need much nicer staff, healthcare is a vital profession and all patients and families need as much respect snd care through their tough times. It’s unacceptable that service was so poor and my family was neglected so much in such a tough time, AND then charged a massive bill for the terrible service. Please, if you truly care about your loved ones, choose a hospital other than this one. Instead of giving us hope, they neglected us and dropped our spirits without explanation of what’s wrong.
My recent experience with Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center could not have been more different than the negative reviews below. In August 2022 I presented at the ER with pain that eventually was diagnosed as an inguinal hernia. Vincent sorry I don't have your last name was the RN who attended me and he was wonderful. Dr. Naomi Marks was the ER physician and she was kind, empathetic and effective. Thanks to them and all ER staff. A month later I had surgery, performed by Dr. Robert Dunham. He and his office staff were wonderful and caring...and the surgery he performed was as wonderful an experience as any surgery can be. The pre-op staff, led by charge nurse Robert sorry again I don't have your last name who performed the most painless IV stick I've ever had, were all fantastic. The OR staff, and the nurse anesthetist Amin Azam were fantastic. The surgery was accomplished by robotic means, and thank you Providence Queen of the Valley for providing such advanced equipment for patients. The organization and the staff and adjuncts are wonderful...thank you!
We came to the emergency room for my 3.5-year-old son and we have been waiting for the doctor for more than 1 hour. What does emergency service mean? ok, we are waiting for you to enjoy the doctor, I guess!
Where do I even begin here?? This place is by far the WORST hospital I've ever stayed at! And I've stayed at a lot! Don't plan on sleeping AT ALL if you come here! It's as if it's a serious joke! They really don't even try to be quiet! Tonight they're even running a family daycare here! Kids running all over the place! Staff is so rude & actually lies to you all day about your next treatment & when you'll actually be released. Everyone has a different story to tell you! I'm blown away by how badly I've been treated, & all while being VERY I'll too! I will never step foot in this joke "Hospital" again! Wow! I wish I could give ZERO stars, really! Just went outside again, to ask them to PLEASE keep it down, as I am VERY Ill, & keep being started awake every 5 mins, by big noises & slams! The girl sitting at the 1st chair did not once even apologize, & gave me the worst attitude as well, while bobbing her head! Plus the lies I was fed all day today! Does anyone really even know what's going on at this establishment they work at?? Pretty scary. And my poor roomie, who is Ill & in her late 80's, is also being woken up every 5 minutes. It honestly feels like a cruel joke! If you can't even show the minimalist amount of respect to Ill patients, who came here for help, should you REALLY be working at or even trying to run a hospital?? Seems like the very LAST place you should be! The only one nurse I can say anything good about, is Michelle was always very pleasant & respectful, always. You should prob just fire the whole lot of em, but save Michelle. Try to find more like her! That's your best bet, if you're even trying to succeed? Can't really tell? I don't even know what else to say! Just completely awful! We're human beings, not animals in a barn! Wow just wow. It's called respect & usually hospitals are the top ones for showing it! Usually. Pretty sure you all have ZERO meaning of the word, all together! What a shame.
The medical care here was ok, but the caseworker Jenna or Grenna, and the Case manager Danelle are terrible people who don’t care about the patients or their families! They picked a facility to send my family member to without consulting my mom and lied about sending referrals to the area’s the family requested. They bullied my 70 year old mother and threatened her, that if she didn’t transfer my dad into the facility of their choice, she would have to pay out of pocket for everything!! They succeeded in forcing my dad into a facility 5 1/2 hours away from our home, against our families wishes and I am filing a complaint with medi-care over this ABUSE of their position. These horrible people do not care about the best interest of the patient or their families!! I can only pray they are stopped from doing this to other patients and families. May they reap what they sew. SHAMEFUL AND DEVOID OF CONSCIENCE AND MORALS.
My Father was in Queen of the Valley March 16-21, 2022. Nurse Michelle from One South was PHENOMINAL, as was Amy from the lobby/reception area. I cannot say enough about these 2 ladies!! They made a very difficult time a little bit easier with their quality people skills and knowledge of their jobs. Thank you so much Nurse Michelle from One South and Amy from reception/lobby!!!!! You have blessed our lives! If my rating was on these 2 woman, it would be a TEN. The overall experience, I would say, when you tell a patients family you will call them with info after you do surgery on their loved one, CALL them!! Please!!
The receptionist in this hospital have the worst customer service. I work in hospitality and we have to have high expectations in our customer service and you would think hospitals would work the same. Please hire nicer people that have the patience to help people and not scold people so loudly in front of everyone.
If I could give fewer stars I would, beware of this hospital and their greedy and dishonest billing practices. I was not allowed to leave for a minor cut, and was coerced into staying for a nurse to look at it. They then charged me an obscene and completely unreasonable amount. It has been 3 weeks of me attempting to find out what I am being charged for because I believe I am being charged for incorrect procedures that were not performed. They obfuscate hospital charges and make it extremely difficult to find out what you are actually being charged for. I know the healthcare industry is a dumpster fire, but I have never been treated as poorly as I have been by this hospital. AVOID IF POSSIBLE. If anyone knows a good lawyer who is interested in evaluating a case against this hospital, let me know. There are consumer protections that have to apply here.
