The Rahma Health Clinic is open to all uninsured members of our community.Although donations are welcomed at any time, no fees are charged for services.
The Rahma Health Clinic offers primary care and preventative care services for acute and chronic conditions, routine diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, conditions and injuries, screening, counseling, and medication monitoring.
All visits to the Rahma clinic are by appointment only and all who are uninsured are welcome to utilize the clinic. The long term goal is to operate every weekday in addition to Saturdays.
Rahma seeks to serve the South Side community and help address and stem the disproportionate number of people who are admitted to hospitals suffering from preventable illnesses such as high blood pressure, uncontrolled diabetes, asthma and pneumonia.
The clinic is funded by private donations from the community members.
ABOUT RAHMA HEALTH CLINIC
The Rahma Health Clinic was founded in 2010 and is licensed by the NYSDOH in August 2012. Rahma was founded by a group of citizens concerned about the large number of uninsured local residents and their resulting poor health statuses. The staff is composed of local medical doctors, other medical professional and community members - all of whom volunteer their time to operate the clinic.
The Rahma Health Clinic carries a unique status in New York State as one of the few free health clinics to be fully licensed as an Article 28 Free Clinic by New York State DOH.
