Just wanted to write this review so the community knows how my dog and my family were treated. We initially called and asked to schedule an appointment with the doctor due to my dog looking ill. When I called in I asked if they needed the dogs name, breed or any information needed so my dig could be seen. After waiting more than an hour the doctor look at my dog and was very intimidated due to her breed. Refused to look at her, refused to offer her treatment. Screaming at us like we are not people. I felt like this doctor was racist to my dog and her breed. Didn't even offer others suggestions and told the receptionist to not talk to us because he couldn't help us. To know that my dog is ill and to not get the help your looking for is disgraceful. This is like seeking help for your sick child and not getting the help you need. If anyone can help please help me. I really do get that some vets can be scared, my dog is a barker and the nurse in the office was even petting her and for him to act the way he did is very concerning.
My cat was hit by a car and had her leg broken. I took her to an emergency hospital. They gave me two options: amputation or surgery that would cost me 5000. I brought her to Rahway Veterinarian for a second opinion. They gave her a different treatment not expensiveat all. Today, she's completely healed walking on her four legs. They were so patient with us. We appreciate the doctor and his stuff.
I want to simply say thank you! My dog ate a big piece of rubber toy and I had no clue what to do as my primary vet was closed. Many other vets require an appointment, yet they were able to create a time for me to go with my dog. They took great care of my dog and I. What I appreciate the most is the honesty and the vet not being greedy like many other vets are. Highly recommended!
Doctor is very disrespectful. Doesn't commicate well . Says one thing then says he didn't say that and is very dismissive of your concerns. Took my dog to be checked and update vaccines and doc didn't do a full checkup but I paid for my visit and vaccine . Go to the groomer 2 days later and they check her ear and say it's infected. Go back to this doc and he says maybe I should have the groomer clean and fix her ear because he doesn't won't to check my dog because she is nervous. But his assistant came in with no problem and held my little dog, states to me I'm not going to charge for the visit just the medication. Go to the desk and they charging me for everything I say that the doc said no charge for the visit just the medication, doctor standing right there and says I didn't say that and suggest I find a new vet. The place is horrible and greedy for money to keep there doors open.
The doctor and staff here were very compassionate when I brought my ill cat in. Unfortunately, they were unable to fix her she was 15 years old but gave her fluids to make her comfortable so I can take her home and let the family say their Goodbyes. She never made it back to the vet to be medically put to sleep she went peacefully on her own surrounded by family. Rahway vet handled her remains and she was brought back to us in a few short days. They did an ink paw print as well as a clay paw print. This was extra but it came out perfect. Thank you for your compassion in this difficult time.
If I could give this hospital 20 stars I would we have been coming here for the last four years I believe that they just went through a transfer of a different company but it’s still the same workers and the same veterinarian. I cannot say enough about them. They are always lovely. They are always respectful. They are always friendly they always go above and beyond to help in any situation. My dog had had a car accident two years ago where she hit the windshield and they took her in immediately. I have been at other veterinarians that will make you wait. I cannot tell you I was still in shock myself, but they took her right in and not only took care of her but the care of me. Also, these people are amazing and they have been a godsend in my life. I am so grateful I chose this hospital
I was recommended to Rahway Vet by a friend. I am absolutely pleased. Everyone was so sweet and attentive to my little fur baby and their prices were affordable. Thank you for taking such great care of my little Sylvester!
They literally saved my youngest’s kittens life and I wouldn’t be more Thankful.! Prices are reasonable and everyone is so friendly! They are also able to work with you and provide with whatever extra documents you might need. I take both of my furr babies here and I hope to continue to do always!
I am so pleased with the service here. My Sally has hip issues and being so young we didn’t know what to expect. She is on medication and natural supplements and is doing great! Sally loves to visit. Goes to counter then right to scale to her she is going to see her friends. I highly recommend Rahway Animal Hospital. They are kind considerate and their pricing is affordable. Thanks you from our family!
I travel 1 hour just to take Sheba to see Dr Shukla, honest, sincere, and fair in price. Love what he does and truly cares for the animals
