At first glance, the exterior of the place seemed promising. But upon entering, I was hit with a strong unpleasant odor. The rugs were visibly unclean, several chairs were torn, and the floors were sticky. The restroom was an even worse sight. Some stalls had overflowing toilets with toilet paper inside. The overall lack of cleanliness and hygiene made the experience unpleasant. The only redeeming factor was the good quality of the movie. However, it was difficult to fully enjoy it in such a dirty environment.
This was a no-thrills movie theater - nothing new or exceptional about it but nothing bad either. It does not keep up with other theatres, so you won’t find those big reclining chairs, but it was clean. I got my seat, my food, and watched a movie without issue - what more is there to say? The discounted Tuesday tickets were an added bonus, just because I didn’t like the movie I saw so I’m glad I didn’t waste too much. But overall, I would go to this theater if there was a movie I didn’t want to spend too much money on
Imagine paying for tickets online, traveling an hour, and planning your day around a trip to the movies: just to show up and see this sign. You need to communicate with your customers. It’s 2023. Use the internet. Post something on your website, and at the very least, don’t take people’s money knowing that you won’t provide the services they’re paying for. Ridiculous.
Every staff member I encountered was pleasant. Asked for a mix of cola and lemonade and no eye roll or huffing. That's after I took forever to order. Customer service is tough, but these guys were great. Bathroom overall not bad. Floors pretty good too.
We’re always disappointed when we come here unfortunately 69th was not participating in the $4 movie day 08/27/2023. I was charged $6.60 for a popcorn which was supposed to be $4 as well. They act like McDonald’s every time we come the Icee machine is never working which makes my 10 year upset because this is one of the reasons why she always want to come here but I will never return to this place and will not recommend yet and it has a horrible smell also. Thanks for ruining my daughter’s experience every time she comes!!
The movie was great. The theater itself was so hot the entire time. It's the beginning of August. When I went to eat the Reese's cups I bought, they were completely melted.
Numerous bad experiences over many years. This was the last straw. They sold us tickets, let us walk to the auditorium, only to find that AC was out on a 90° day. They didn’t relocate the film, they didn’t cancel, they just counted on us having sunk enough time, energy, and money into getting there. It is worth the effort to go to a different theater, even if this one is closest to you.
The staff was friendly enough, but the theater smelled musty like old gym socks and the floor was wet. Every surface felt dirty and gross like nobody had really cleaned the place in months. I would not recommend this theater unless it was your only option.
Wow. Awful theater. Do NOT go. It’s a dying, depressing theater.. Floors are filthy. Staff is nice but overwhelmed. 1 person was working a huge line to get tickets. Both machines out to get tickets yourself. Nobody is there to check your tickets once you have them. They basically just yell to beep the ticket yourself. Ordered food and it literally took 30 minutes to get pretzels, popcorn, and mozz sticks. The food was AWFUL. Mozz sticks were almost humorously false advertised on the screen. They came out looking pale, no actual breading, and we’re just terrible. Pretzel bites had a weird smell, and just were a sad excuse for pretzels. Thank god I got there super early. I would’ve missed the movie for this 2/10 food otherwise. Just pay the extra money and go to amc theater in center city. Whoever the gm is for this theater needs to come in and fix a lot.
There's no AC in the room where they're showing Barbie. It's August, it was extremely uncomfortable. Also like, surely this is your biggest movie right now? And you couldn't rearrange your screens to put something less popular in the broken room? Even just assuming the AC is a one-off issue, lots of the seats were cracked and the springs were broken in mine. It was pretty sad. This used to be a really nice theater but it doesn't seem to be any longer.
