Really cool restaurant. The whole place is done southern style head to toe. Didn’t taste like fast food at all, I felt like I was on the ranch. The food was a little pricey but you got a lot of food with it so I have no problem with the prices. They had homemade barbecue sauce, country music, great drink selection, the full package. Right down the block from Village Crossing so it’s in a prime location. I would highly recommend stopping in!
Gotta say, it really fells like something you would see in Nashville or Texas inside. Food was very good and the portion size is big.
I've been going here s few times already. This review is overdue. I've had the pulled pork sandwich. The flavor is really good and the pork is tender. I've had both the sweet and spicy sauces and they are great. For the sides, I had the baked beans, they are excellent. Tender and full of flavor. I also had the mashed potatoes and gravy. Very good. The people are friendly and helpful with questions about the food. The place is kept clean. I will return. They do not take contactless payments. Bicycling: The place is accessible via a side street. Touhy Avenue is just okay for riding, it can be very busy. Unfortunately they don't have outdoor seating or a place to lock your bicycle.
This place was extremely overpriced and ridiculously small portions. The food doesn’t even taste good - it’s food you’d get at a low grade family barbecue. They spread the meats out on the plate that makes it cool extremely fast and the food is lukewarm at best - they just pull it off of a poor warming rack. Ribs are VERY tiny and brisket is dry. Mac and cheese is sub par at best. The ONLY good thing here is their fries and their cake pops. Customer service is also not attentive or welcoming whatsoever.
Great location. Cafeteria style food. Greatly overpriced. Brisket was cold and dry. Mac and cheese was watery and bland. We ordered pretty much a little of everything on the menu between my co-workers and I. We where all highly disappointed in ALL we ordered except the fries and the pancake. Which where made fresh to order. Will not recommend this place. Mariano's cafeteria has better ribs and Mac than here.
Food was good. Prices were a little high though. Brisket was good but the parts I got seemed to be out a little bit cause they were on the dry side. Mac and cheese was tasty. The cobbler was ok. Overall good but priced out of where I could say I love it.
I Went there on opening day of this new location. I had the beef ribs special. These are best ribs I've had anywhere! Meaty, tender and flavorful even without any sauce. The price was good at $15 for ribs and 1 side dish. I'll be back here with or without the beef rib special but when it's offered, I'm buying
Large servings, fast service but the meat tends to be dry. However, add the BBQ sauce, and is all good. I like the fact you can walk in and order right away, since is like a food bar setup. Good place when you want to eat large quantities of meat and don't want to wait long.
I wanted to like this BBQ joint, as it was new, but the price and lack of friendly service just could not sway me. I had just left Skeechers next door, when I noticed this new BBQ. The food was good, but the lack of value for what you paid for made me give it 2 stars. I just expected more food for the $13+ I paid for, as I left still hungry. We all work hard for our money, and spending it at places that do not give value and fill our stomachs at that same time are over. The employee working the line was not friendly, and had very little to say, and was not helpful with suggestions or answers to questions I had about what were my choices. This was my first time there, and also my last.
It was our first time here and we were expecting better, but it's ok. My wife had the mini pulled chicken sandwich and she complained that the chicken tasted old. I got the brisket and it was ok, nothing to write home to mom about. The sides were pretty good though. The decor and charm was pretty much on point for a BBQ place.
