Regal Cinema in Carmel was VERY quiet for the Matinee. I was shocked and saddened by how few moviegoers were in attendance. The Theater was fine, comfy seats, good acoustics. Movie Theaters are getting crushed by Streaming services. Me, I love the movie theater experience. The smell of movie popcorn conjures up a million pleasant memories. We saw "Elvis". I was not a fan. The almost 3 hour run time was too long. Another 30 minutes of previews & ads was just too much.
Had so much fun watching the film Scream at Regal Village Park. Very clean and the staff was nice and was patient since we didn't know what to get to eat. Their pretzel sticks are awesome. Nice comfortable seating. I'm a big guy so that's important to ME. Will definitely go back.
Hadn't been here for a movie before and being in this area, I expected a glamorous looking theater. It is not. Very old and dated, tighter seats than most modern theaters. Only about 10 people in the show so that part was nice. Overall OK, but nothing special.
I don't understand why a movie theater in such a prosperous area is so run down. The seats are old, the restrooms are old, and the snacks are average. It's not an awful experience, but I prefer pretty much any other theatre in the area.
Movie was great Man named Otto. When the movie started, it started to get cold. Soon it was like sitting in a refrigerator and it kept getting colder. They had obviously turned the heat off. It was difficult to enjoy the movie while shivering in the cold. I won't be back.
Older version of the Regal theaters. Seats need an upgrade, especially for longer movies. The Regal in Noblesville has better updates for a more comfortable experience. Staff were great and friendly here also.
It’s winter time and the theater was blowing cold air the entire movie. I was so cold I couldn’t enjoy any part of it… not a comfortable environment at all.. Plz note all the other reviews in here mentioning damp, mildew-smelling theater rooms. I didn’t notice that personally, but the place is definitely older and outdated
Always enjoyed this Regal. I noticed this time that during a rush managers quickly and efficiently stepped up to assist staff. The queues for the lines were set up well, that is, they made sense, it wasn't a mess of ropes and stands. I liked the alcohol offering for the over 21 crowd. I think there's mileage in instituting happy-hour packages or prices with a movie. The theaters were clean and I saw the staff getting ready to go in as soon as we left.
This Regal is a shell of what it used to be 3-4 years ago. I know COVID has been hard on the industry, but one would expect the basics when going to a movie. We saw 1 worker the whole time we were there. I’m not exaggerating. We bought our tickets at the self service kiosk. We didn’t get any popcorn or sodas, but it was 1 person serving the 8 people split between two lines as fast as he could. The air in the theater was stagnant and hot when we arrived. The movie started and the A/C kicked on but it rattled randomly throughout the movie above our heads. This wouldn’t have been a big deal but the sound on the movie was really low. I asked the lone worker to see if it was set correctly and he said he would look into it. However, I’m sure he’s been directed to not leave the profit center that is the concession stand as he was the only person there I saw. It could have been an off day, and I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. That’s the only reason it gets 2 instead of 1 star.
The staff is always nice here. Otherwise just a pretty typical corporate cinema chain.
