There is much to appreciate about the Landmark Ritz theaters in Center City. They offer the best variety of first-run and classic mainstream and independent films for discerning filmgoers. The staff is welcoming and the theaters are cozy in size and seating. Ritz offers senior and matinee discounts plus their general prices are reasonable. There is parking next door and they'll validate for a price discount. They partner with the Philadelphia Film Society, AARP and others for special film event screenings some free. I love the coffee in their concession stand.
A rare jewel among theatres today. Clean, classy, upscale without pretensions, this friendly theatre shows hard to find movies, more to the fringe of genres. Awesome as always!
Love the movie selection they have, but the theatre itself is just your usual one
Still great, perhaps even better since PFS took over. Projection and sound quality are fantastic. Comfortable seating. Good variety at the concession counter.
This may be my favorite of the indie movie theaters in Philly. I love how you enter in and are transported downstairs via escalator. It’s clean, quiet, and the movie rooms are just right.
The space was clean and well staffed but a little worn & torn. Helpful, cheerful staff.
Very neat and pristine, elegant theater. The staff is friendly and personable while maintaining a level of professionalism that lets you know they take their jobs seriously. They have monthly live shows of Rocky Horror Picture Show that brings me out every month, and their selection of movies range from new and exciting to cult classic! I have a great time everytime I'm here.
Great indie theater with attached parking garage. Get your parking verified when you buy your movie ticket to get reasonably priced, safe, low hassle parking. The theater itself is what you would expect and includes a snack bar stocked with the usual plus coffee and baked goods. The small lobby provides a few tables and chairs where you can peruse the many flyers and pamphlets announcing community activities mostly related to film and the arts. Overall the theater is clean and quiet, but it's biggest draw is their choice of films, which includes picks you can't see anywhere else in the area.
Great theatre. Good service. Always plays solid flicks, usually pretty clean. Doesn't get too crowded usually unless specific stuff. Runs midnight movies too that are fun, cult stuff like Rocky horror or Miyazaki stuff. Saw Princess Mononoke there and it was great, one of my favorite times in the theatre.
It was a really aesthetically pleasing place. The seats were comfortable and the screen was nice. The popcorn was also good. Overall it was a good experience and I recommend checking out the Bourse if you can, you're sure to see a unique film.
