River City

Without a doubt, River City is the best place to see a show in Wheeling, West Virginia. A stunning multipurpose venue, complete with fantastic food, a large drink selection, great concert sound and the BEST bands that the Ohio Valley has to offer. Also a great place to grab a drink before and after a Wheeling Nailers Hockey game being just a half block away from Wesbanco Arena.

Sent my parents here for a special “date night” while they were in from out of town for a show at the Capitol. Made reservations in person and asked for it to be a special night. The restaurant and the waitress were AMAZING. They treated my parents like royalty and made their evening wonderful. Thank you and hats off to everyone at River City.

I attended a wedding reception here. The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. The venue was located on the second floor with an open center atrium with a bridge spanning the opening. It was beautiful.

I'm giving it a 3/5 which is not bad, but not excellent either.. My family total of 8 came last night to eat mainly crab. Super expensive to eat 3lbs of crab when not in season, so I get the price. It was just ok, maybe over cooked alittle. The brussel sprouts one my family members had was stone cold. Was told they would remake them, think waitress forgot about them .They did after reminding the staff did come out nice and hot, decently prepared. Server was super nice and did pretty good job of keeping drinks filled. Compared to only a few other places in town that offer seafood and their prices being high too, overall, being almost empty with nobody in the restaurant, It was a decent overall experience. Would I return any time soon, I might look else where first, was bit under whelemed at the price of the meals and just the overall portion size and quality.

We had the misfortune of coming on the night of a hockey game. The staff was incredibly short and rude and the food tasted like it was premade buffet style. We decided to shoot pool to try and entertain ourselves only to rudely be told there was no way to get change in order to use their own table. we understood being abnormally busy but in all honesty that wasn’t our fault either, and their behavior was unjustified.

Friendly staff, great food, awesome sweet tea, and fair prices. Steak was done to perfection!! Will definitely be back!

The food here was great! We used River City to cater my daughters wedding. The staff were very professional. While I thought it was a little pricey. We were taken care of well from beginning to end. I would recommend River City.

Nice Place!! New Years Bash is excellent

I ordered a gyro... I ate around the burned parts... all I tasted was burned bread... yuk Our waiter was very nice and attentive, but did not know the on tap options. We will not be returning.

Visited here for a wedding reception. Very nice venue. It's well laid out and very nicely decorated. The food service is very quick with no long lines to stand in to get your food, which is a problem at many weddings. Food was hot and pretty tasty. Overall a well organized event venue that seems to make sure your occasion is low stress and enjoyable.
