River front Park is a great place to visit in Spokane. It's very pretty and there's a ton to do here. We visited during the day and enjoyed the fun trail and the sister cities walk. At night we really enjoyed the carnival like area with all the lights and people having fun and amazing views of the river. I'm really glad my wife took me here it was very worth the visit. Restrooms: Restrooms were not available during the day, but they had about a million porta potties available during the night Dog-friendliness: Many people enjoyed having their best buds on leashes
River front park was a good experience it is very urban which means that it is also quite busy and parking is a nuisance. The best way to get around river front park is on the Electric scooters and/ or bikes as the park is so big and has plenty of pathways. That being said riverfront park is indeed very urban with fencing around all of the river and falls, there isn't a lot of nature to actually enjoy which is both fortunate and unfortunate. If you're going in for a walk this park is definitely big enough to get your steps in, but most of what you'll see is sidewalk fence and some grass. There is I think 3 bridges that go over the water, one of them is currently under construction as is a good portion of the park. Playground: There is a couple playground areas and 2 splash pads that I seen Restrooms: restrooms in the main building, one of the play areas and maybe a couple other areas Dog-friendliness: Busy area, dog must be leashed and okay with people. Picnic area: some covered picnic areas which may be busy
Great place to walk, jog, bike, and run. Gets busy. Lots of things going on all at the same time. The trails are nice. I would recommend always having someone with you, there’s a lot of homeless people there and no security what’s so ever. Some areas are trashy and can small like marijuana, like many places around this city. Stay close to any young ones. Stay in crowded areas. Watch for the bikers because there are blinds spot. People are supposed to walk their skateboard and bike but you know how people respond to regulations. Lots to do and see. Very lively. Take precautions thats what I’m telling you. Oh and people drive fast so watch twice before crossing. Still a lot of ricer on the West Coast I’m from the other side of the States.
Beautiful, walkable, rideable park. Many things to do and see. The garbage eating goat. The carousel, the Numerica Skyride. The big red wagon, the Providence Playscape. The waterfalls, river walk, the clock tower, the US Pavilion. Something for everyone! There was even a band with members from Russia to Ukrain playing.
A very nice way to spend the day. The park offers so much for individuals on the go or just good family fun. My favorite is the FREE tour around the park area by a very popular tour guide. Enjoy.
Wow! We haven’t been to Spokane in about 9 years and the park has had some serious upgrades! The playgrounds are epic with a historical twist and educational signs scattered about. There are great sidewalks all throughout the park and thankfully, the iconic giant red wagon was in the same spot we left it!
Such a nice park for kids. Several areas for kids to play. Covered area for parents to sit and watch as well as benches closer to the playground as well. The huge slides were a hit with the kids. Definitely recommend this playground.
Gorgeous park with lots to do and see! Plenty of room for long walks/runs, photo ops, picnics, etc. I appreciate all the native art installations and lit fountains and water features. There’s even a giant red wagon slide which is really neat! It seems to be kept really clean. Definitely my favorite part of the city!
Wonderful public area for families, friends and large groups! There is a fun ice skating and roller skating rink here, a carousal, and food vendors. Occasionally they have live music and really cool farmers markets. Playground: Brand new playground! Restrooms: Restrooms located inside the Ribbon. Dog-friendliness: Super dog friendly just make sure you keep them on a leash. Picnic area: A lush grassy green area to have intimate picnics or picnics with lots of friends.
We attended the Park's 4th of July celebration. It was great! Packed but with all the things that can keep families busy, it was ideal. We went to the fossil park and splash pad, watched the symphony at the pavilion, and then sat in the grass near the clock tower to watch the fireworks. Our kids had a blast! Will be attending next year as well! Playground: Splash pad, sand, and slides. Lots to keep little ones busy and a skate park behind it. Basketball courts, gazebo, and lots of parent seating. Restrooms: Lots of porta potty's that are well maintained Dog-friendliness: So many dogs were present. As long as they're friendly and leashed, you're golden.
