This is a small, quiet campground. We enjoyed our stay here. The bathroom and shower are clean. The shady trees were nice. The beautiful river near by and the walking path was great for a walker/runner/biker. The pool was fine and the miniature golf looked just okay. It's a perfect place to stay if you are visiting Niagara Falls. It's 15 minutes away but it's a super relaxing here. Safety: Very safe, but no lifeguard in the pool just like most campgrounds
We recently stayed 3 days on the Labour Day September long weekend for the first time. I specifically chose this campground for it's positive reviews and location. Location was perfect, a quiet campground facing the Niagara river and small enough that I felt comfortable allowing my young son to bike alone around the campground. Staff was friendly and always available. Sites are nice and decently sized. There are 2 open grassy areas perfect for kids to play frisbee or soccer. Playground is meh...old partially working swing set and one old slide and see-saw. A new upgrade would be nice for future visits please. Only cash or e-transfers as park doesn't have system for debit or credit cards. Wifi is free for the first 15 min and you can purchase an internet package from the office which I wouldn't recommend as wifi and phone reception is very poor. Building facilities are outdated but not a deterrent as washrooms, showers and laundry facilities are very clean and you don't see spiderwebs or bugs on ceilings and walls that you see in most campgrounds. Shower areas are large and comfortable. My only complaint is that the pool is solar heated so you are at the mercy of the sun. When we went it was somewhat sunny and the pool was ice cold. It was also dirty with more than the usual bugs you may find and a few grasshoppers. So that was a huge dissappointment to my kids especially since the pool reviews were good online. The pool is the only reason I am giving 4 stars. Please look into heating it with propane and a heat pump! My kids enjoyed the mini putt. Walking trails outside of the park are nice and we saw many campers on them. Overall it is a beautiful campground with views of the Niagara river and we enjoyed our stay. Will definitely visit again.
Camped here as a base location for Niagara Falls for one night. 20 min drive but we’ll worth getting away from the busy tourist area. Beautiful drive along the lakeshore. Peaceful location, great breeze off the water, nice shady trees, lots of open on a Wednesday. Place could use a bit of TLC but overall good for the price.
If I could give 0 stars to this place I would. The amount of disrespect and miscommunication that goes on between staff is ridiculous. My family and I unfortunately were told by the original campsite we go to that they had flooded so we had to find a new place. After calling places for an hour, we call riverside last night. The lady said they have spots available and because they were closing soon she would put our spots on hold and told us to call in the morning at 10 am. My boyfriend calls only for them to tell us they have away are spots and they were taking bookings from 8 am. I honestly have no words for the amount of rudeness from these people. All I can say is never again. And I ENCOURAGE NO ONE TO EVER BOOK HERE.
APRIL 16TH took a drive along Niagara Parkway towards Fort Erie and stumbled across this moyel , RV Camping Site. The area is outstanding for scenary and peacefulness Season opens May 1 till Oct 9th. Please read the facilities of this place as I believe there is no AC or fridge in the room according to reviews. Niagara Falls is about 20min drive and Chippewa 12 to 15min. there are a lot of trails and picnic areas along thd Parkway . Just beautiful
Beautiful campground, very quiet and peaceful. Lots of picnic tables at each site, campfire pits too. Amazing views of adjacent Niagara River, walking and bike paths right beside the park, lots to see and do. Mini put golf course on site, pool too. Comfort station with toilets and showers on site, immaculately clean and maintained. Small kids playground Fabulous campground, highly recommended.
Had a great time, very quiet, lots are clean, the bathrooms are clean Only downside is that there was pile of woods and a bunch of tables laying on the road. And they only ask for cash and interact transferService: 5/5
This is a cute little quiet campground. The rates are OK for overnight. They are unbelievable for a season. They have clean facilities. A little soccer field. They are right on the Niagara River. Which is great for those of you that have US data plans because it will work. The sites are nice and flat. And the people seem nice.
The campground is picturesque, and the facilities are decently maintained, though a little rundown. At our RV site, the black/grey water connection was broken, so we had to hold the hose down manually when emptying tanks. The biggest challenge we had was with the booking process. Their cancellation policy is abnormally rigid — requiring at least a week’s notice rather than 24 hours’ notice like at many other campgrounds. We got behind in our travels, and the owner became very angry when we wouldn’t arrive on time, and initially told us we would lose our entire booking. She changed her mind in the end and let us stay, but this is a very negative way to interact with customers. There were a lot of vacant lots when we stayed in early June. To avoid their cancellation policy, I’d recommend just showing up to grab a site rather than booking ahead of time. The area is beautiful, and the campground is conveniently close to Niagara Falls. It’s just the management and their policies that leave much to be desired.
Pros: Friendly staff and our family enjoyed the pool it was beautiful and very clean. The sites for RVs and tents had a lot of space to set things up and the horses nearby is nice. Everything is pretty clean. I did receive toiletries in my motel room which was good. Cons: No grab bars in the public showers for those who are disabled or elderly. Motel rooms are ok but the plumbing is not the best the toilet would only flush once and a while. Also the beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Overall our family would likely return again because the overall experience was good and we had a good time. Leaving tomorrow morning and it will be a good weekend to remember. :
