Ross Hollywood Chapel was so good to us as my husband and I had to made funeral arrangements for the tragic death of our adult daughter. Alison was exceptionally kind and caring as she explained things. She went out of her way to do things that helped us. She organized a lovely Celebration of Life that was perfect. There were so many candles and a beautiful chapel they arranged with circular tables and chairs. Their Celebrants Astin, Allison, and Sarah, worked to make that day comfortable for us.
Absolutely a great and professional place. After a traffic death in our company it was absolutely critical to send the our dear friend and colleague to Mexico for a burial. It was not an easy process working with Mexican consulate and both US and Mexican emigration authorities. It’s was as intense as any other similar process of this nature. But Aston, know everyone and was able to stay on top of all the details in an impressive way never forgetting how important every day was to us. Every day there wore multiple things happening and things just kept on moving along just like we requested. We shipped our this is Friend from US to Mexico in under two weeks. That was impressive. Hope you never need there service for anything but if tragedy has befallen you, you will appreciate their hard work and competence. Thank you!
My husband of 60 years passed away. We were devastated but Ross Hollywood staff was truly wonderful in helping us with Jim's cremation. Everything was taken care of with kindness and consideration. All of us will be eternally grateful to Ross Hollywood.
There were difficult circumstances involving international transportation of remains that accompanied my father's death. I called over five funeral homes to ask for assistance and while I was kindly received in all, none gave me confidence that my request could be handled until I spoke with Astin. She was calm, kind, compassionate, and utterly unruffled by my situation. She took a huge weight off my shoulders and smoothly navigated through international arrangements, paperwork mixups their fault, NOT hers!, and coordinating further transport such that my father made it home to me. I cannot recommend her highly enough and have her to thank for one of the few bright spots in an otherwise bleak month. Astin is a deeply kind, competent person and a powerful recommendation for Ross Hollywood Chapel.
I worked with Astin and Allison on a funeral. Astin was actually a friend first, so I am lucky she was in my contact list when I needed her. If you're lost and confused and maybe unexpectedly planning a funeral, maybe you have to cold call a venue for it, wondering if they'll get it right: reach out to Ross Hollywood Chapel. Astin will walk you through everything, put you at ease, and organize a beautiful life celebration, to your preferences. Allison then was the celebrant at the funeral. She interviewed me casually for about an hour, and perfected a speech that had my group smiling and laughing with the most joyous tears. She respects the group and gets out of the way to let them celebrate and mourn. She understands it's for them, not her. However I wish she had stayed longer afterwards to receive compliments, because all the attendees came to me to compliment that they were blown away by her speech. Ross did such an excellent job helping my family. Britni, Aston, Cindy, Tessa, and Rebecca gave my mother comfort through the entire process. This was very difficult for my mother, and these people at Ross Hollywood made it as smooth as possible. What an excellent staff.
I consider Ross Hollywood Chapel highly recommendable during a time of loss with family or a loved one. The staff was very comforting and professional during one of the hardest times of my life. In particular Astin was amazing. She really cares about the people she works with and her professionalism is stellar! My family has worked with Ross Hollywood multiple times and has always been satisfied with the service and compassion that the staff provides, and because of the experience I recently had with them I will continue to refer family, friends, and people I meet in the community to Ross Hollywood anytime that these type of hard times arise. So glad my grandparents found this place they chose Ross Hollywood chapel a few years prior to my granny passing the night she passed my grandfather couldn’t remember what or who we were to call in the middle of the night they assisted us in figuring out what to do next my granny passed at home wile on hospice they came to our house gave us as much time as we needed to be ready to say goodbye the next morning we got a condolences call from the staff they were so helpful and kind as can be expected I was distraught never having planned a service Austin took great care and patience with my self and our family we chose to use their team to direct the service and present the life story Alison did an incredible job ! So well that after the service some of our family members who attend asked .. who was she ? Was she Nancies niece/ ? No she was just amazing at retelling our story as if she knew my granny her hole life I’m for ever greatfull to all of them although I’m not looking forward to my grandfather passing I am at ease knowing we are in good hands thankyou Alison and Austin very much!
Our family would like to sincerely thank Brittni Smith and Allison Pickard for helping us through and unimaginably difficult time. Brittni handled every detail with grace, and a calmness that reassured us that everything was being handled with care. Allison captured our mom’s life in her words that made us remember what a special person she truly was.
