Stopped by for lunch. Grabbed chicken bbq wings and a breakfast burrito. Both tasty and fresh. Service was great and line was short.

I loved the experience as far as shopping goes.  Excellent options when it comes to food,  drink, beer, wine and liquor.  As far as the checkout process goes it was absolutely horrible.  I waited on line to check out two six packs of beer for 45 mins I know,  I should have just left! . There were two registers open in the entire place, not counting the self service registers. Even the 15 items or less counters were closed.  At the self service registers we weren't able to check ourselves out because the rule is that you need to be at a register with a staff member to buy any form of alcohol meanwhile any normal place allows you to scan the booze at the self checkout counter and then a staff member comes over to check your ID. The cashier was SLOW, SLOW, SLOW!  This dude was absolutely pathetic,  meanwhile there's a line down to the other side of the store.  Horrible experience,  I'll never come again.

I would have put zero stars today!  but since I am a daily customer who goes by his two coffees every morning and all of them have always been good, but today was the exception!  since in the afternoon I went to buy some things at the store and the cashier Jerri who attended me had a very rude attitude: I don't say hello, I don't ask how everything was, well in a few words she ignored me and I don't know what the reason is, but This boy lacks education!  and customer service" I wanted to make a complaint which I never do, when I went to the door I told a cashier and Angel who was at starbucks what had happened, they told me that they would tell the manager what happened, I just want to emphasize This, I am a hotel manager and I know what customer service is, but I also know that the company was not the one that caused me this bad time, so for that reason I do not lower my stars to your store, but as a manager I know that There are rules to follow and respect.

Sticker shock. Breaks my budget. Clean,stocked. Inflation present

Best sushi to eat in Corte Madera,  if needed a custom sushi just ask the sushi chef, they also do platters for parties.

Good selection deli workers are not helpful

Safeway Corte Madera is quite nice ...especially if you compare it to some San Francisco stores ahem Potrero/16th. And the hours its opem from early early to late late are wonderful. Prices esp Fridays can be great even in these imflated times and stock is fresh and plentiful. BUT every.single.time there is a challenge with getting all the digital coupons ive clipped and trying to read the register is an exercise.in futility...so there's often a correction needed after checkout. The great news is, customer service is typically excellent. I just wish safeway corporate could get the register act together and make it less of a mystery as to whether the deals are working or not. But all in all, this is a great store and i enjoy being able to shop here.

Cleanliness could be better. The manager is really nice, but it seams like she could use more help from the district level. Update: they remodeled and switched all the aisles.

$5 sushi fridays is the best

Update: the meat counter has such a great variety. From catfish to crayfish, whole salmon to octopus....there's everything. Stuffed bell peppers, bacon wrapped chicken, stuffed pork chop, and more. Quite impressive.  This location is my favorite local store. The store is clean, always well stocked even the toilet paper!, and produce is clean and fresh. The lines are usually a bit long, but what isn't these days?
