Salty Marsh Lodge

Had another wonderful fishing adventure with Captain Jacob of Salty Marsh charters. We had six people people in my family so he was able to get us a second boat lined up for us to split up and conquer the waters Jacob never disappoints and put us on the fish and was able to help us catch a mixed bag of fish. Captain Donnie took my older kids and there aunt they had a blast with him and he gave them a good fishing experience as well I look forward to coming back out to see them again I have to give a big thanks to Jacob’s wife Kourtney for helping us out with accommodations on this trip I Would highly recommend them to give you a great fishing experience

Courtney and Capt. Jacob are two of the finest people you could ever meet. Our group has stayed at Salty Marsh 3 times in 2 years and every time they make us feel like family. I cannot say enough good things about these people, this place, or this company.

We had an amazing time with Captain Jacob with Salty Marsh! He put us on some amazing fish, but more importantly he was just a good time to be around. Jacob definitely made our fishing experience a memorable one and would recommend Salty Marsh to anyone that is looking to do some fishing!

We went out fishing with captain Jacob for my dad's 80th birthday. He not only put us on some massive bull reds but also made us feel like family. He called my dad "Pops" the whole time and took great care of him both days we fished. I had a lot of questions about the trip and Jacobs wife Courtney was very helpful and a pleasure to be around. Jacob is an awesome guide with a beautiful family. If you are looking for a guide that will put you on fish and give you a great overall Venice experience, Jacob is your man!!!

My family and I went out for a day trip to catch redfish and Jacob was our captain. He picked us up right from our houseboat on time and we set out to a great fishing spot, stopping for sunrise photos on the way. We landed a keeper on the first cast and landed about 12 in the first 90 minutes, including a giant bull red. 5 of us had limited out in 4 hours, stopping at a couple different spots. It was nice that we didn’t have to go too far between spots. At the end, after we caught all of our eating fish, we went out for some bull reds and caught 4-5 of those. A lot of fun Not every trip is going to be that productive, but Jacob not only gives you the best chance of having a great trip because he grew up fishing in the area, he’s also a great guy to spend the day with. Super personable, patient, fun to fish with are all ways I’d describe Jacob. I’d highly recommend that if you want to fish inshore that you go with Jacob. The boat is nice and well kept and the rods and reels are high quality and new. Zero things I can think of that would’ve made the trip better. Thanks for a great trip, Jacob

This was my 3rd trip down with 5-8 guys and captain Jacob is hands down the best guide you can get! He’s a blast to fish with and always puts you on some exciting fish. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a fun guide that will do whatever it takes to fill your boat with good eating and aggressive fighting fish.

Jacob took my son and I out fishing for bull reds and trout. We had an amazing experience that we will remember forever. He had top of the line equipment, a great personality, and put us on the fish....MANY fish to be precise! I have fished all over the world and he is by far one of the best guides I have ever fished with. You will not be disappointed if you book with Salty Marsh Charters. My wife booked their lodge for us and it it was convenient/perfect for our Venice trip. His wife Courtney was super helpful and accommodating. She went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay. First class operation and we can't wait to book next year.

My two buddies and I were in LA for the FL-LSU game and decided to add on a day of inshore fishing. We went out with Captain Jacob and had a blast. He put us on some great bull reds and we limited out for those in the slot. Jacob has a great personality and is a true professional. Would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for inshore and looking forward to coming back out for one of his duck hunts!

We had a group of 13 and stayed at the Floatel. Accommodations were great, plenty of room, food was great and fishing was AWESOME! A big thanks to Captain Jake! He set us up on 4 boats with great captains that made it happen… already booking our next trip!

Conditions couldn't have been much worse but Captain Jacob went above and beyond and worked his butt off to find us fish. 90% of the Captains that day threw in the towel but not Jacob. Absolute class act and fun to be around. Always stayed positive even when it got tense. Highly recommend Salty Marsh Charters!!!
