San Carlos Library (San Mateo County)

San Carlos library has plenty of books, plenty of space, plenty of tables and chairs. It's interiors and exteriors are also very beautiful, making it worthy of admiration !

Pretty decent library. Friendly staff. Doesn't have a huge selection of books on the shelves, but vast numbers are available through inter-library loan via their web site. Ditto for movies and series on DVDs. Free wifi is also available.

The library was super helpful in helping re-activate my library card and get me on the computer for word processing. It was a great experience and in spite of the vibe some of the newer locals can create, it was a pleasant experience. It was clean and orderly. I highly suggest to go there to study or whatever you need to research.

Very nice library, good to see it being used by people studying, retired people reading newspapers, mothers with children. Comfy seating, study tables and private rooms.

I needed to print out a résumé out today on résumé paper that I bought, but wasn't sure if I could get it printed out here. I called and left a voicemail about it, then a woman called me back saying it was fine and the printing is free!. So I went to the front desk, and asked this white-haired gentleman in the front about it. He was rude and standoffish, repeatedly saying "no, I don't know who you talked to, we can't do that". Luckily for me, this young woman named Galicia showed up and said it could be done for me. She got it printed out two-sided on my résumé paper. So glad that she was there to speak up for me! I hope they give her a pay raise for sure!!

Great service and staff! We enjoy kids classes there and I personally love their Friends of the Library bookstore.

Very helpful staff, takes the time to thoroughly address patron's' concern and requests. The facility in itself is interestingly appointed with thoughtful touches that lend to the laid back, briskly intelligent and efficient vibe. It is a great find to know that the library offers lending of portable WiFi hotspots, as well as laptops. Who knew, right? Not I, dinosaur that I am. Looking forward to discovering all the library has to offer

Recently remodeled. Nice layout of space. Various areas with tables & chairs. Some comfortable armchairs are spread around throughout. Colorful children 's section with appropriate sized furniture. Computers with internet are easily accessed with a valid library card or temporary code from a librarian. Used books are sold in a small "store" and some bigger weekend sales upstairs. The library has a great children's program with story times and otherwise activities & shows during the week and on weekends.

Our local library. Great kids section, which is about a 1/3 of the first floor space! Lots of computers and ipads with only educational apps on them for the kids to play with. They offer lots of different free classes and workshops, especially during the summer, so check the website for schedule. I have never even made it upstairs here and I love it. Parking is easy and free with EV charging stations in the basement.
