We are a group of students at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology dedicated to improving safety at mine sites and providing mine rescue training.
The SDSM&T Mine Safety and Rescue Team (MSRT) is a unique student activity that involves many different aspects of the mining industry such as emergency response, communications within a mine, and logistics. The team stresses excellence and professionalism in both the school environment and the professional environment.
The improvement of safety conditions at mine sites and preparation of future professionals to deal with challenges encountered during their employment.
