Extremely neat, clean, and organized. I enjoy the extensive nonfiction and biography sections. They even have tons of used books in all genres that you can buy for just $1!! Also sell CDs and puzzles for $1-$2. Some stuff is in great condition and I’ll just get a book from there. Tons of books, helpful staff, even have a self checkout. I always use my library card’s barcode from the app on my phone which is super convenient. There’s lots of seating and desks upstairs because it’s associated with the college. It has longer hours than most other libraries as well but gets an hour shorter when school is not in session.
After going to Largo library and not getting help with an ebook app issue, I then went to the Seminole library. Completely different experience. The librarian at Seminole took his time to figure out what had gone wrong and fixed the problem completely.
Today my 15 month daugter and I got sent out from the kids' program wiggle, sing, dance on Thursday at 9am upon entering the room. The person leading the program was up on stage and had the nerve to come down just to send us out, saying they are 'at capacity'. There was plenty of space in the room - but anyways, what kind of person sends out a 15 month old??? Never felt so humiliated and I am mad because she did that in front of my daugther. All other libraries are welcoming and inclusive, especially at programs targeted at children....not sure what was wrong with the person leading this program. Suggestion to management: make this program tied to registration if you are so worried about an extra baby but DO NOT humiliate a mom in front of her baby and the group!!!!!
Large selection and themed children's section. The staff are all super helpful and kind in assisting me with finding books, using their computers/printers, and offering up suggestions for books. Clean facilities and easy parking. No complaining 5/5
Staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is not an issue and there is handicapped parking. The library itself contains a vast selection of books and computers at the front to help locate and check them out. The front also contains a reading area with a beautiful view. On the second floor is where adult books and comic books are located and includes the same reading/viewing area.
I am wondering if the goal of this library is to hire the dumbest help guest counter people imaginable! Also, the fat woman upstairs at the HELP DESK, I think her name is Cathy, always looks very annoyed whenever she has to heave her bulk up out of the chair....
I was pretty impressed. Beautiful library. I actually interviewed an employee there today. I did not realize that I was sitting in an area where homeless people live. I mean they literally live inside the library. I was shocked. Are we turning into California? See for yourself. You won't believe what I saw today.
Very helpful getting a library card. Gotta use the holds section, it sends your selection to your specific library. Plus wifi! Free veggie seed packets
Helpful Florida librarian network. Was able to help my friends with a special project. Thank you.
Security guards, ala Barney Fife, inept beyond belief. Should have been put out to pasture years ago. No other libraries have security people bumbling around the main floor. The Help Desk upstairs is ridiculous. Same for the library staff. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
