Teams of students travel to local parishes throughout the semester to conduct retreats for middle school and high school students. Short dramas, testimonies, and other means are used to reach the youth and bring the light of Christ to their hearts.
S.E.N.T (Student Evangelization Network Teams)
Franciscan University Students of all grade levels are invited to apply to be a missionary for SENT Ministries! SENT missionaries are put on a team of 6-12 students with two student leaders and are sent out to lead a retreat, conference or youth rally. The average commitment is a day long missionary training day, one meeting a week and then the event itself. Come to the ministry fair at the beginning of the semester to get the initial information about SENT and closely following we will hold an informational night where applications will be distributed. We take applications at the beginning of every semester and are always welcoming new faces to join our teams. Join us at the end of each semester for our Night of Worship as we give thanks to God for all the blessings He has sent down to SENT Ministries!

General Bio: Angela Sengenberger in her senior year at Francsican University, and SENT Ministries was the first Missions of Peace ministry she became involved in as a freshman. The initial desire to serve and to draw young people to the heart of the Church through retreat ministry kept her coming back to SENT in the following semesters, serving as a team member and on CORE Team. Through participating in this ministry and in Missions of Peace Spring Break Mission Trips, she has been blessed abundantly through the joy of her fellow missionaries and the witness of young people who are so willing to open their hearts to the love of Christ. She is humbled and thrilled to be serving SENT Ministries in this way, trusting in the Holy Spirit, who continues to guide this ministry and the mission of Franciscan University with trust, love and mercy.
Gabriel Salamida is in his junior year at Franciscan University and has been involved with SENT Ministries since his first semester. A love for youth ministry immediately drew him to SENT, and has led him to serve in Steubenville, OH; Lancaster, PA; and Decatur, IN. This love for ministry, which SENT largely contributed to, has led Gabe beyond SENT Ministries on mission trips to Belize, Romania, and Jamaica. Gabe is excited to continue working with SENT in different and new ways, and he trusts that the Holy Spirit will continue to do good things in and through this ministry, for the greater glory of God.
