"Wilbur E. Shetzer opened Shetzer Insurance in 1964 working from his home on Port Clinton Rd in Fremont, Ohio. He moved the business to downtown Fremont in1975 and purchased the Hobart Insurance Agency. The Shetzer- Hobart Agency then purchased the Al Short Agency in 1979. Wilbur Shetzer sold the agency to his son John and John's wife, Leanne, in 1991. Shetzer Insurance Agency, Inc. is an independent insurance agency serving Sandusky County for over 50 years."
