The Hinks and Elaine Shimberg Health Sciences Library, founded in 1971, serves the students, faculty and staff of the USF Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Pharmacy, and the School of Physical Therapy.

It is the primary purpose of the Hinks and Elaine Shimberg Health Sciences Library to provide information and access to materials to fulfill the educational, informational, research and patient care requirements of the faculty, staff and students of the University of South Florida Health Sciences Center. In addition, the library serves the University community and is a resource library for the health care professionals of central, west coast and the Tampa Bay area of Florida.
