We initially booked three nights in advance, but during our travel, we realized we needed two extra days. With a quick phone call, the staff graciously accommodated our request and smoothly arranged the additional days. The check-in process was efficient and hassle-free. We were impressed by the dedicated staff members who diligently maintained the resort, riding around to ensure its upkeep. It's evident that they pay great attention to the facility, which we absolutely loved. We highly recommend the RV park.
Great spot, great location. Flat level sites that are really nice and well kept green lawns. The beach is close and so is downtown. Check in was super easy and the people at the front desk were awesome! I stayed here for a conversation so it was an $8 Lyft ride. Will definitely be back ! Nearby activities: The Aquarium, Downtown Long Beach, Shoreline Village, The Pike, The Beach, it's right there.
Despite too late arrival, very friendly manager. Nice location. Clean bathrooms. Swimming pool. Very interesting area with outlet center and a lot of restaurants. Not that close to LA airport.
We just went here over Labor Day weekend and I was pretty disappointed. We camp all of the time and have been all over with our four kids. It’s right by the freeway so it’s loud all hours and the street racing never stops . The hot tub has huge signs posted saying “No children” even with an adult . My son who is 6 and daughters who are 10 and 15 were pretty upset with this , and the grumpy people who intended to enforce this ridiculous rule. If you don’t want kids bothering you go to an all adult resort. Camping is for families and it’s ridiculous to banish kids from the spa. Furthermore if you don’t want kids in it then you should have the pool heated for them as another choice. I won’t be going back!
This is a very tidy RV Park, hidden away next to Downtown Long Beach. It’s LA expensive 80.00 a night as of this writing, but nicely landscaped and the pool, Hottub, bathrooms, showers, and laundry were all very clean. We lucked out and we’re given what I considered the nicest spot in the camp, site 23. It has a nice tree, backs to lawn and a view of flowers, has a nice hedge along our patio area, and was very close to the pool, bathrooms, laundry etc. The whole compound is gated and security fenced all around. There is some street and city noises, but not next to a fwy, so not too bad. I had two complaints: when I spoke on the phone and asked about checkin I was told 2 pm, but was also told we could arrive at 1pm and if the site was ready, no problem. We arrived a little after 1, and my husband was reprimanded for arriving early NOT a great welcome!. Secondly, this is about the most un-dog friendly rv park I have ever seen, with signs absolutely everywhere telling you to pick up poop of course!, and every single lawn had a sign saying no dogs. For me, all these signs ruined any beauty of the nice landscaping, and just made it clear they don’t like dogs. Yes, there is a small dog park with artificial grass, no shade, and barely big enough for anything. On the far side of the laundry is a beautiful lawn area that seems completely wasted and unused, why not make that into a dog friendly park area? Or at least if you don’t want to advertise it, just take the no dogs sign down. I sit on the grass on a blanket and throw a little ball for my little dog every day. She is on a long training leash. I was sad not to be able to use any of the lawn here for that, and so was she! At such an expensive rate, I felt irritated. Many people have chosen to travel in RVs because they have dogs. This park doesn’t seem to understand this. Otherwise, a pretty and safe place to stay.
Beautiful small park. Nice ambiance. Fascinating view from some sites of the pier and beautiful bridge. It's gated, so that helps with security. Bring some rugs and a broom - the sites are sand. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Full hookup, back-in sites with plenty of room for our little Baja Bug. Cable and antenna signal were both available, but spotty. A little traffic noise, but not enough to be disturbing-not bad at all for in town. Easy checkin and accommodating, n8ce staff. Overall...LOVED this park and will be back some day.
The campground is well organized and sealed off. Access by code from sunset. The showers and toilets are very well maintained. The pool is a highlight. The full hook up is ideal.Service: 5/5
The place is nice but the guy working at the reception is very unfriendly. He didn't even say "Hello" when we checked in, just said "check in?" as we entered the office, no friendly smile. We had to extend our stay for one more night and I felt bad asking that guy if it was possible to extend. I believe people working in customer service should be friendly in order to make customers feel good and welcome. Maybe this is not the right job for him.
Great location on the LA River where it meets the ocean. Short bike ride, longer walk, to the center of Long Beach beach attractions and the beach. Large pool, hit tub, very large and clean washrooms and showers. Limited camping and food items in their store. Long impractical walk to nearest grocery style stores. Right next to I710 ramps for easy access to go sightseeing elsewhere in LA. Gated. Most sites difficult to position 35'+ Class As and 5th wheels with second vehicle; all are back in, very narrow road. Park makes big effort for landscaping to look nice. Very loud area due to container port across the river. Nearby activities: The aquarium and all the other Long Beach beach attractions are down the street. The bike path that runs up and down the Pacific coast literally goes around the park.
We have been travel nurses for 20 yrs and stay in rv parks. Golden Shore has been such an enjoyable stay. It is quiet, manicured, and the staff do an amazing job of meeting your needs. They even have a place to secure your bikes safely. It is located next to a well lit walking path that leads to Catalina Express, the Aquarium, marina, and restaurants. You can bike on the board walk and view the beach and ocean. We will miss staying here.
