The store offers a variety of styles and sizes of only the best quality and supportive shoes. Employees are all trained to measure and consult to be sure you’re leaving the store in the perfect size and fit. Silcotts shoes is the hidden gem of Valparaiso, Indiana! Excellent customer service and the highest quality shoe selection
I walked in to Silcott Shoes in tears because the pain in my feet was a 10/10 on a zero to ten pain scale. I had a massive flare of plantar fasciitis and tendonitis in my shins. Both feet were extremely inflamed. When everyone that helped me was done my pain was reduced down to a 3/10. Now my whole family has a new shoe store. Even though my pain was reduced the supports in my shoes were not perfect. They let me stop in two more visits and made my insoles perfect for me. I am so grateful to everyone who works at Silcott. This is not normal shoe shopping its an actual experience and everyone should try it. I will never shop for shoes anywhere else. I also bought slippers that fit me like they were tailored just for me. The insole Brent built for me is so good my foot doctor said I will not need the normal custom built orthotics because the insole is perfect support for my condition. Thank you so much Silcott Team! You guys are amazing.
I like Silcott's because you get old fashioned service and attention of being able to try on different sizes and styles before you buy. The people are great there and know what your feet need. I get my New Balance running shoes there. There are so many good shoes and work boots and it’s really comfortable in there
First of all the selection is excellent. The photos are just the part of the store. Most importantly is the service. I was assisted in finding shoes to perfectly fit my needs in both form and function. The staff's knowledge was so good that I ended up with TWO sets of shoes, equally good, but different for me to choose. To top it all off was the fit. I didn't realize how badly I had been fit for shoes in the past. I didn't know shoes could feel this good! I will be coming back for my winter boots, work boots, and many more walking shoes. I cannot recommend them enough! Work with them and you won't be disappointed. I live on the north side of Chicago and coming here will be worth every trip.
Silcott shoes is the Best! The shoes are high quality, beautiful, comfortable and good for your feet. I really appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the time they take to make everything fits just right. For over 20 years, this has been my go to place for shoes that span every occasion. They say good shoes take you good places, and Silcott's is a good place to find great shoes.

This place is pretty amazing. I have a large, wide foot, and a weird walk. For years I've been ordering my shoes online, because I can never find my size. Never! Last week I went with my daughter, and happened to ask if they had my size. I assumed they'd have to order it. Not only did they have it, they had several different pairs for me to try! But the absolute best part was their knowledge, and commitment to getting me into the best pair of shoes. I haven't seen a store give this kind of attention and service since I was a little girl. They only carry high quality shoes. The staff is super friendly. They took a lot of time with me, and I never felt rushed or pushed. The owner seems to be a perfectionist, and I was glad to be the recipient! He clearly has set a high standard for his store, the shoes he sells, and the employees he hires. My New Balance shoes are the perfect fit, and my daughter loves her new Hokas! So, thank you! Hey, while you're there, try out the socks! I bought two pair, and want to throw all my other socks away!
